Norridge is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 5,052 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The Village of Norridge was organized on February 14, 1871 from part of the Town of Romexandria. At first it consisted only of one block and a half square, bounded by Cicero Avenue to the north, State Street to the east and South Side Road to the south. On May 6, 1872 it was made an incorporated town with a population of 1,500 people. Norridge's first school was opened in a house on Cicero Avenue in 1870. In 1876 a new school building was constructed at 154 West Orchard Street which served as Norridge's high school until 1957 when it became Illinois State University Norridge Campus. Norridge has had 11 mayors since its incorporation as a village: John Fenton (1974-1980), Edwin Deering (1981-1987), Lester Maddox (1988-1994), Harry Jaffe (1995-1999), Richard Molineaux (2000-2002), David Wojciechowski (2003-2009), Frank Sacco (2010-2018) and Ed Burke 2018 -present

These cavemen would spend most of their time eating meat and going through childbirths without leaving their caves. From here on out, it is unclear what happened because we don’t know how these different groups interacted with each other after this point.

The first white settlers in Norridge Township were Nicholas and Susana Ketchum who arrived in 1836. In 1838 they moved to what is now Norridge Village and started a gristmill which continued to be in operation until 1892 when it was replaced by a more modern mill. The village ceased to exist after that time but the mill still operates as a museum today. The current courthouse on State Street was built in 1903 and is also the oldest courthouse in Kane County. The building has been used for many different purposes over the years including being used as home court for several high-profile cases such as John F Kennedy's assassination, Richard Nixon's impeachment trial and Michael Jordan's basketball game against Julius Erving.
