A group led by real estate agent Harry Weisenthal purchased parcels from these landowners adjacent to current day Park Ridge Drive just eastof I-355 through Antioch Township then southward into Will County - now part Of Schaumburg Township - offering parcels ranging from $10/$15 per acre up until 500 acres where he built what is today know As Old Westbury Estate completed in early 1957 consisting primarily two single story brick homes , one large Tudor Revival style home complete with an attached garage accessible only via an underground entrance utilizing hand drawn maps dating back to circa 1925 ; later additions included smaller residences also using hand drawn maps dating back to 1925 while still others were built using modern construction techniques utilizing precast concrete panels / masonry “blocks” similar To those used today on some high end condominium developments throughout Chicagoland

As development intensified within Napville, sandstone quarries were brought into use for building new roads and bridges as well as other infrastructure projects throughout the late 1800s and early 1900s. Naperville was founded in 1847 by John and Anna Naperville. The couple homesteaded land on the west side of Chicago, close to what is now Lombard Avenue. In 1851, they built a cabin near the current site of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 1853, they married Maria Todd. In 1861, the Napervilles donated $10,000 to found the Northwestern University in Evanston. They also donated land for a new high school in Naperville on Westcott Avenue in 1865. On April 15, 1870, a fire destroyed their cabin and most of their belongings but not their marriage certificates or any other records documenting their relationship. The first university building on campus was erected in 1872 as the Physics Laboratory Building; it burned down in 1903. The first womens dormitory was constructed in 1916 as Brown Hall; it burned down in 1992. The first men’s dormitory was constructed in 1927 as Eliot Hall; it burned down in 1984. Naperville has had its share of controversially named streets – such as North First Street (now Roosevelt Road), South Second Street (now Addison Road), East Third Street (now Irving Park Road), and Northwest Seventh Street (now Waukegan Drive). In 1915,onauthorized sign reading "Hey-Hey! No Ma'am" went up at one of Naperville's local grocery stores after an argument between two shopkeepers over who could have given out candy bars from a jarromptu fundraiser for World War I soldiers
