In 1945-46, local farmers produced over 20 million bushels (of corn) and 1 million barrels (of soybeans) of oilseed rape which were used to produce munitions for Allied forces fighting in Europe. Since its founding as a small town with few amenities forty years ago now - thanks largely to advances made through technology - Moran has seen rapid growth due not just to its own residents but also through annexations by neighboring towns such as McLean Heights and Bloomington populations have nearly quadrupled since 2000 alone making Moran one of America’s fastest-growing cities while still remaining affordable for everyone living there."
