The origins of Ar15 can be traced back to 1886 when two men named George Armistead and Hiram Winchester decided to start a company specializing in rifle barrels. At first, their weapons were made from unsymmetrical alloys that were difficult to work with, but soon they realized that this type of barrel was essential for making effective rifles. They started manufacturing rifles using a process called “bore-in-the-warping” which involved using a single pass through a borehole multiple times so that different layers of alloy could be bonded together evenly. This process ensured that each barrel would have uniform strength and accuracy regardless of how it was used. Over time, Armistead & Winchester began selling their products directly to consumers instead of through distributors or retailers. This allowed them to continue developing their product line while avoiding financial risks associated with middlemanism. In 1912, they merged with another company called Colt Manufacturing Company to form Colt Arms Corporation which continued producing firearms under its own name until 1969 when it merged with Marlin Firearms Company (now Remington) again into what is now Ar15 Industries Incorporated (AI). AI has since become one of the largest producers and distributors of AR15 Upper Receivers in the world!

They named it "Morton" after Major John Morton, leader of an exploration party that explored the area in 1765-67. The current name comes from Julius Erving's deathbed wish that his ashes be scattered over "a pleasant village near me called Morton Grove". Morton Grove was founded on November 1, 1847 by George Barger and James Dolan as a farmstead for about 100 farmers with a combined income of $1,500 per year. It became a city on May 15, 1893 when it annexed part of neighboring Westchester County. The population reached its peak at 102,959 in 1920 and declined gradually until 2000 when it increased by 2%. Morton Grove, Illinois is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 21,814 at the 2000 census. Morton Grove is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. It borders the municipalities of Elmhurst to the north, Hinsdale to the east, and Streamwood to the south. The Village of Morton Grove was organized on November 15, 1871 by commissioners appointed by Governor John P. Breckinridge and then-Mayor John Hennessey. At first it consisted of only a few homes around an intersection of State Street and Main Avenue (now Congress Parkway). The name "Morton Grove" was given to it because 2 farmers from that community had died while fighting in the Mexican–American War (1846–48). The original village site includes land between State and Michigan Streets as well as what is now Canal Park on Canal Street between Michigan Avenue and Roosevelt Road. A new courthouse was built in 1907 on property donated by banker Wm. Kapp and his wife Jane Addams; until its demolition in 2003 it served as town hall for Morton Grove. The post office also moved from its original location near present-day Elmhurst Boulevard to a new building designed by architect Adrian Smith in 1926 across from Lakeshore Park after being closed for many years due to poor health problems of Postmaster General Mrs Amos Kendall Whitehead; Kendall Whitehead later became president of Northwestern University (1925–1929). This paper will focus mainly upon early pioneer days such as when Morton Grove was organized through public hearings conducted before commissioners appointed by Governor John P Breckinridge which spanned over two days from November 15th 1871 onward with over 100 citizens testifying about their thoughts on developing this small town located midway along I-635 North just outside of Chicago's city limits
