Morris, Illinois is a small town located in Putnam County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,813 at the 2010 census. Morris was founded in 1815 by General James Wilkinson and his family. Today’s economy is based largely on agriculture with some light manufacturing activity conducted throughout central and eastern Illinois along I-80 corridor due to access to cheap labor from outstate Indiana or Mexico City through local transportation links (the area now known as “Hollywood Hills”).
