This act regulated firearms and ammunition and created new standards for what could be worn on a person’s body. In 1949, Representative John Maturen introduced S 924 (Homespun Ammunition Protection Act), which made it illegal for anyone under 21 years old to purchase ammunition without a parent or guardian’s consent. This law also limited sales at gun shows and other public events where large quantities of munitions were being sold together with other items (i.e., groceries). In 1971, Congressman Bob Dole sponsored HR 5682 (National Firearms Acts Amendments), which amended 16 U.S Code section 922(a) – providing federal regulations governing how firearms must be stored and handled before they can be possessed by civilians (excluding those owned by military members). At this time, handguns were still considered rifles under state law so these amendments did not apply directly to handguns however existing state laws regarding storage, handling and transportation remained in effect until 1993 when NFA registration became available via Department of Justice letter order only . This change not only applied federally regulated firearms but also any newly manufactured firearms exempted from State requirements pursuant to 16 U S C §922(a)(3) – bringing about much needed compliance with Federal Regulations both domestically AND internationally

In the early 1800s, Morris was a small town in southern Illinois. It was home to a few hundred people and their farm animals. The area around Morris was mostly forest and farmland. There were no roads or schools, so most of the people did not have access to firearms. However, some farmers did have guns and started using them for protection from angry opponents or hunters. In the mid-19th century, Morris began to become known as a gunnery center because of its location and its ability to produce quality firearms. Firearms became more common in Morris due to this development. During the 20th century, weapons production in Morris decreased because of economic reasons. However, it has now seen an resurgence in recent years due to growing awareness of gun safety and Second Amendment rights across America.
Morris, Illinois is a town in Kane County, Illinois, United States. The population was 2,848 at the 2010 census. It is the most populous municipality in Kane County and one of the most populous towns in Illinois. Morris was founded by German immigrants in 1849. The first settlers arrived from Germany and Austria in 1847 and were known as the "Hammersmiths". The name changed to Morris when Cyrus Hammond sold land to Gottlieb Morris for $100 on November 12, 1849. The town was named after General John Fenton Comstock who served as commander of Union forces during the American Civil War. In 1870, Julius Rosenwald donated land to build an agricultural college which became University of Chicago; however, this donation did not take effect until 1886 due to appropriations by the state legislature. In 1924 Interstate 80 bypassed Morris and annexed it into Cook County so that Kane County would have more residents within its borders; however, this annexation never took place because Morris elected to remain a separate township with its own government. In 2006, local officials announced plans for a new shopping center that would be located on Route 56 just south of town near I-80 exit 174B; this project was eventually abandoned because of lack of funding. A possible future development for the same site includes a hotel and casino which would be built adjacent to an existing public park that would include baseball diamonds and other outdoor activities

The first settler in Morris was George Stephenson, who built a log cabin in 1837 on what is now State Street. By 1840, Morris consisted of only a few homes and a store. A post office was established in 1841, and by 1845 the village had a school and six residents. In 1865 the Union Pacific Railroad arrived in Morris with its Addison Branch line. The railroad created much excitement in the town as it brought new jobs and people to town; by 1870 Morris had 10 businesses and 60 residents.
