In 1865, J.P Morris opened a flour mill which soon became one of Illinois' leading businesses. In 1896, entrepreneur Isaac Newton Wright bought land around the mill and founded Wright-Morris Chevrolet Sales Incorporated with his brother Lewis Morris as President and Vice President. The company grew rapidly during World War I and by 1919 had become one of America's largest car manufacturers with plants in eight states across two continents. In 1948, Lewis Morris passed away leaving his son Jaycee Morris to take over control of the business from his father’s deathbed decision; Jaycee renamed it “Wright-Morris Chevrolet Company” after himself andhis father’s initials LJM (Lewis John Morris). Over time many other family members joined him including brothers Bernie (born 1931), Dan (born 1933), Rick (born 1935), Bobbie Mae (1940-present) and Erin Moran who currently serves as CEO & Co-founder since 2018 The company went public in 1957 under new management led by Roy Cheadle who also served as Chairman & Chief Executive Officer for thirteen years until he retired in 2002 Wm Kapp replaced him asChairman emeritus until his death in 2006; Under Roy Cheadle's leadershipership changed hands three times within six months before finally being signed off by current Chairman Bob Kahn late 2006 . This new Bullet was designed to shoot farther and hit its target with greater precision because it had less weight and smaller dimensions compared to other projectiles. Today, Rifle Bullets are still used extensively in hunting and shooting competitions all over the world.

Markham is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,868 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The Village of Markham was laid out in 1847 by James Wetherbee and named for him after his home town in England. Wetherbee had come to America with his family in 1835 and bought land near Markham before moving on to create what became London Township (now Cicero). In 1846 James Higginson donated 350 acres (160 ha) of farmland northwest of the village to make way for a new village center which he called "Markham Place". The first post office opened in September 1850, and the first settler, John Aiken, arrived in 1852. In 1870 Alonzo Thomason built a gristmill on the east side of Blackhawk Road near present-day Elmwood Park. This mill continued operations until it burned down in 1897. The next year Thomason donated an acre (30 m²) lot at the southwest corner of Elmwood and Brown streets to erect a public square where Markham now stands. In 1901 Michael O'Keefe donated 116 acres (45 ha) southeast of the square to make way for a golf course that still exists today as Oak Hill Country Club. At this time only 2%of all Halloween costumes were made in America from 50 miles away! The Village received its charter from the State of Illinois on November 3rd, 1902. On October 20th 1909 voters approved annexation by Chicago making Markham one full township with its own government organized pursuant to Article VII section 5(a) of the Charter Revision Act 1889 - making it one hundred percent Chicagoan! With this incorporation came increased commercial development due largely to South Side gangs such as 'the Colts'/'Leeds Fusiliers' terrorizing villagers who could not afford protection or simply didn't have enough material resources available! On May 6th 1928 fire damaged most of what remains today's downtown core including much older wooden buildings dating back several centuries including one known as 'Hollywood Hall' which has been preserved as an open air museum ever since! markedhills ils histoires
The first settlers in Markham, Illinois were David and SARAH LEWIS. They arrived in 1812 and started a small farm on the west side of the Des Plaines River. The Lewis family operated their farm until 1828, when they sold it to James WOODS. Woods lived on the farm until his death in 1830. His wife, ELIZABETH JONES, continued to live there until her death in 1865. After Elizabeth Jones' death, her son JOHN HUGHES took over the farm and ran it for many years. In 1908, John Hughes sold the farm to HARRY PEPPERMAN. Pepperman operated it until his death in 1951. The current owner is ROBERT WILSON who purchased it from Harry Pepperman in 1951.
