The Macomb Gun Case Company was founded in 1892 by John H. Macdonald and his brother, Alex. The company produced a variety of revolvers and shotguns. It became very successful, production reaching 1 million cases per year by 1914. In the 1920s, the company was bought by Al Capone's reputedcriminal organization Trafficante crime syndicate. In 1927, the company merged with another firearms manufacturer, Browning Arms & Ammunition.
Macomb, Illinois is a town in Cook County, Illinois. The population was 5,814 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. Macomb's history dates back to 1809 when it was organized as a village on the east side of Chicago. In 1836, it became a city and remains so today. The first settlers in what would become Macomb were French Canadians who arrived in 1809. They fished and hunted in the area until 1840 when they decided to move closer to Montreal during the economic recession that struck Canada at that time. In 1836, Chicago Mayor James K. Polk designated Macomb as one of five cities within its boundaries for increased commerce and development. This decision led to growth for Macomb with new streets being laid out such as Orange Avenue and State Street which later became famous thoroughfares such as those near Midway Airport or Michigan Avenue today (although these streets are now called IL-94). A fire destroyed much of downtown Chicago on December 8th, 1871 due to faulty wood burning boilers used by the generating plant next door which also caused an extensive damage to several buildings including City Hall and other government structures across town including two Masonic lodges located on Clark St., just north of Harbinger Ave.; but most importantly this fire caused $2 million worth of loss in property values in downtownChicago alone! Today, many aspects of daily life are based upon services rendered by businesses located along State Street from McHenry Ave., eastward; including restaurants, pharmacies, beauty salons/spas etcetera all located along busy intersections like Kedzie Blvd./Soza Rd./Herndon Rd./Lake Shore Dr.. All told State St corridors have more than 12 business locations per mile! And not only does this make for some impressive commercial real estate indicators; but it also helps define what “Macombs” means today: A community committed to service above all else! There are numerous museums throughout the city providing interesting displays related to local culture or history While there are periodic concerts here & there too...the nightlife seems pretty tame compared ot say saydays like last nights where i felt really unsafe walking around

After the softgun case was brought to our attention, we contacted the manufacturer and asked what they were doing to improve safety for their products. We also spoke with other retailers who had similar complaints about their softguns not being properly protected. We then created a petition on Change.org calling on the manufacturers of Softguns to improve safety for their products. The petition has since received over 2,500 signatures.
Macomb was founded in 1809 by Colonel John Macomb. The town began as a small farming community on the east side of the river, near present-day Gratiot Avenue and Michigan Street. In 1824, Macomb became the county seat of Cook County, Illinois. In 1871, the townships of Dunkirk and East Grand Rapids were created from portions of Macomb Township. On February 14, 1912, Dunkirk merged into Macomb Township while East Grand Rapids continued to exist as an independent township until it was annexed by Macomb in 1932. The first settler in what is now Macomb Township was John Gage who came to America in 1795. Gage built a cabin on current-day Gratiot Ave., about four miles northeast of where he settled. He also platted out land for a village which he named after his home country - "Granada". When Granada failed to take off and become a thriving community due to lack of population or infrastructure, Gage sold his interest in the village and moved away. The first post office opened in Granada on December 15, 1824 with James Hutton as mail carrier. In 1830 lumberman Jabez Bowen opened a store at present-day Webster Road and Gratiot Ave., which became one of the most popular grocery stores in town because its prices were lower than those found elsewhere within Cook County at that time. A store operated by Jno Cope started opening at Present-day Mound Road and Washington Boulevard on October 26th1833; this store closed approximately one year later due to economic difficulties caused by tight credit conditions throughout Great Lakes region during that time period. The first school building was erected not too far from where today’s buildings stand when gradeschooler Dora Stephenson attended class there starting September 1st1835; she would continue attending School #1 until her death on October 16th 1865 when she reached age 12 years old . After School #1 disbanded grade school students would attend local mercantile businesses which served as their primary educational institutions beginning with Fenton Mercantile opened up down the street from School #2 later renamed “Highland Mills” run by Mrs Euphemia Smith taught 6th through 8th grade along with spinning classes for girls located next door starting Febry 2nd 1836 under teacher Lydia Andrews before moving upstairs into building currently occupied as apartments right across from Highlawn Pharmacy
