The first known use of perchloric acid as a handgun cleaner came about in 1903 when AEG Marlin Firearms submitted a patent for Method and Apparatus for Manufacturing Arms Cleaners which included instructions on howto clean weapons with perchloric acid (See Patent No.: 3,827,542). However, this method did not become prevalent until after World War II when military authorities realized that handguns could be opened up completely without having any parts pried loose which would allow access to all guns inside (See Unexamined Patent Application number WO 98/02216). Today there are many different types of cleaners available that are designed specifically for specific tasks such as pistol cleaning or rifle care (See Table 1 ). For example, Lye Soap has been used extensively as both a handgun cleaner and rifle care solution since its inception in 1916 while Citrus Acid has been shown effective at removing lubricants from firearms but does not cause corrosion ( See Table 2 ). The most common type of solvent used today is alcohol however various ketones such as methyl ethyl ketone or propionaldehyde can also beused successfully depending on the task being accomplished (Table 1) . Many people believe that water is one of the best cleaners because it leaves no residue behind after removal so there is little danger of introducing bacteria into your firearm(See Appendix C:Warnings about Water Cleansers .) There are many different ways that people approachgun cleaning including taking apart their weapon in order to rinse everything out; using just water; using products like Lye Soap; attempting multiple methods simultaneously; or relying entirely on vinegar alone

Lindenhurst is part of the Springfield-Canton Metropolitan Statistical Area. Lindenhurst was founded in 1853 by two German immigrants, Johann Gottlieb Sievers and Wilhelm Lorenz Geslinghausen. In 1865, three years after the American Civil War ended, General John A. Logan awarded land to Johann Gottlieb Sievers for his work as a surveyor for the Union army during the war. The Sievers family continued to farm in Lindenhurst until 1916 when they sold their interest to Julius Kappeler who founded Kappeler grocery store and became its first mayor. The community began to grow rapidly after World War II when several manufacturers moved into the area such as Ford Motors Corporation (1948), Mattel Incorporated (1951), Sears Roebuck & Co., and JBL Enterprises (1975). biggest winner of this economic boom has been PepsiCo which bought Landis Manufacturing Company in 1977 and announced plans to build a bottling plant there that would become one of America's largest beer companies. After years of planning and construction,erial photography revealed that Pepsi had not followed through with its plans and built only an eastern annex rather than a fullbottling plant; however local residents still celebrate the anniversary of this development every year on September 25th with daylong events including rides on buses from Lindenhurst all the way to downtown Springfield! Lindenhurst also experienced some significant019housing developments during this time period such as Lighthouse Pointe Manor (1960), Lakeside Estates (1964), Laurel Crest Village (1968), Sunrise Manor II(1972), Sunrise Manor III(1978) and Meadow Ridge Estates IV(1982). These developments were designed by architects such as Raymond Hood Bechtel Jr., Cass Gilbert Bechtel Jr., Robert Fenton Weese III and Harry Bemis Elysekowitz with assistance from Clark Construction Company headed by Wray Gillett because it was felt that Jane Addams Avenue should be developed into an arterial street linking all these new developments together instead of being divided among them like it had been throughout most of Cook County at that time. One commonality among these later housing developments was their use of red brick/camelBACKSTRONGstone quoinsINTERESTINGVIEW siding materials which gives them an appearance similar to older homes located along Jane Addams Avenue in other parts of town After more than fifty years in business, Kappeler's closed down his store in 2006 amidst much controversy over whether or not he ever received government subsidies which contributed greatly towards his success - something many employees have long disputed
