The first school in Lincolnwood was built in 1872. In 1905, the first paved road in Lincolnwood was built. In 1912, the first post office in Lincolnwood opened. In 1945, the last World War II bombing campaign took place in Lincolnwood when over 100 bombs were dropped on the town.
