A Brief History: Peter and John Lemont started Settlement No 2 south side facing Intraurban Railroad tracks & opened up land lot next door home Dec 12th 1847 ( map ). This lots were 3 ½ acre @ $100 per acre . deed #1 says “This piece [of land] fronting Intraurban Railroad track & also included; lot next door containing building now known as Homan’s Drug Store which stands today corner First street & Third avenue” lots were sold at auction 4 days later with Peter selling right across street from store @ $105 per acre

One of the earliest examples of modern day multi-tools is the pocket knife which has been around since 1898 when it was patented by John Fouché . A pocket knife is typically made from either metal or plastic materials and comes with different functions such as scissors, utensils, first aid tools, etc.( Fig 6 ). Pocket knives are now common both at home and in professional settings across all industries In 1990, an innovation in miniaturization led directly to today’s electronicmulti-tools such as iPads®, iPhones®, iPods® and Android mobile devices which are equipped with various functionality including advanced electronic sharpeners/ lamellars/files/ etc.( Fig 7 ). With advances in technology come also advances in safety; for example filmsensitive printing has eliminated sharp edges from prints making them less prone to tears caused by accidental cuts Today’s multi-tools come in many shapes and sizes; each designed specifically for its user’s needs ( Fig 8 ). From small impact drivers meant for use inside vehicles to powerful saw blades suited for cutting through tough woods or metals———————————– It is safe to say that without multi-tools there would be no civilization!

Lemont, Illinois is a town in Kane County, Illinois, United States. The population was 9,879 at the 2010 census. Lemont is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The first settler in what is now Lemont was Levi Weeks who arrived in 1837. He named his property "Weeks" after himself and built a cabin on the banks of the Fox River. In 1838, John Wagoner came to Lemont from Kankakee and began trading with Indians for goods he brought back from Missouri. In 1840, Elijah Butterfield founded a store here which became the nucleus of what is now known as butterfield grocery stores throughout Kane County. In 1847-48, Samuel Morse constructed a bridge over the Fox River between Lemont and Aurora to provide access to agricultural products being transported by boat downriver. This event helped spur development in both communities and helped create an early commercial center within easy reach of many people across Kane County. The first post office in Lemont opened on November 1st, 1851; it continued operating until it was discontinued on December 15th, 1951 due to high postage rates required by mail service at that time! The current post office building was completed in 1961 and replaced an earlier structure which had been destroyed by fire several years prior! Lemont also saw some significant growth after World War II when many veterans returned home and took up land nearby including construction of Veterans Administration hospitals such as Parkland Hospital (now Northwestern Memorial Hospital) – one of only two academic medical centers west of Chicago open to military patients – as well as new housing developments such as Belmont Manor (now Northwest Side Housing Authority), North Shore Drive (now Humboldt Road), Elmhurst Place (now Elmhurst Gardens). However much progress has been made since then primarily because of suburban sprawl that has gradually taken over portions of Kane County following decades of underinvestment in local infrastructure!, most notably during the past few decades with little investment or attention given to transportation options or comprehensive planning which could have easily supported this growth potential!. Today's economy largely depends upon services provided by businesses located inside downtowns such as tourism/hospitality/retail—-a sector that continues to grow despite challenges faced elsewhere—-and professional and scientific services although there are some tentative signs that technology may be beginning to play a role too!, making Lemont an increasingly vibrant community with opportunities for economic growth yet again!.
