However, in recent years there has been an increase in development around downtown Lansing including mixed-use projects such as The Bankside Place project which is now home to several high-end hotels and restaurants; and Midtown Center which is home to several popular shopping destinations including Sears Holdings' Wilson Mill Mall and Macy's headquarters complex.
