The city's annexation included land east and westwinds on both sides of Buffalo Road between Pulaski Street and Sheridan Road which bisected downtownChicago from north to south and formed what are now Elm Park Heights on one side and Irving Park on the other side - all within City Limits until 1968 when they were annexed into Chicago proper. This gave rise to confusion among many residents as to where their neighborhoods lay since they were technically two different cities with two separate governments - not something that has ever been easily resolved since then! In 1916, following World War I, Lake Zurich annexed another small village called Arlington Heights in order to increase its population size past 50,000 people; however this annexation also did not include Arlington Heights'lying geographically adjacent communities such as Wheaton or Winnetka which would have constituted additional municipal districts within City Limits had they been annexed into Lake Zurich proper instead like most other villages during that time period. Lake Zurich was founded by German settlers in 1824 as a small community on the west bank of the Chicago River. The first post office in Lake Zurich opened in 1827. In 1853, the City of Chicago annexed the village of Bloomingdale and incorporated it into Lake Zurich. She died soon after their arrival in this country but he continued to reside with her until his death 13 years later at age 53 while still living near Princeton.[15] When they moved into their present home near what is now Wacker Drive they made use of one acre that Johann von Ziegler had bequeathed them two years earlier while serving as an assessor for Plainfield Township
