In 1892, Julius Eberhard redesigned the Butler Repeater and produced a new model that used an objective lens instead of a revolving cylinder to fire rounds. This model became known as the Eberhard Rifle Sight and is still in use today. In 1903, Wm J. Brown designed and produced what is considered the first reliable iron sights for handguns. His iron sights were known as the Browning Target Sight and are still in use today on many types of handguns. In 1911, Gustavus Adolphus "Gus" Griggs introduced an improved version of his original graticule sight system for pistols that became known as The Griggs Gunsight System. This system allowed shooters to place their weapons at various distances from targets using adjustable screws on either side of the sight box. This system remained in use until replaced by modern night vision systems in the early 21st century

Pritzker built a luxury hotel on the site called The White House which served as both a hospital and vacation spot for Chicago's elite class until it burned down in 1908. By 1912 there were over 100 hotels within walking distance of downtownChicago while only 10% of residents lived within 5 miles (8 km) of downtown Chicago itself according tostatistics from that time period In 1911–1915 two other well known businesses located near downtownChicago; Armour & Co., a wholesale grocery store and Leland Stanford Junior's father founded Stanford University which relocated from Palo Alto California after his death to nearby LaSalle Street; these locations are now occupied by UFT Tower (formerly Sears Tower). These early days saw many new arrivals including Eastern Europeans who came directly from Hungary because their families could not find work here due to prohibitionism during that time period as well as African Americans who had recently been emancipated from slavery following Abraham Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation. From this time through World War II much progress was made with Downtown Chicagos construction including high rises such as Central Park West which opened in 1914 and Midtown Manhattan which opened in 1966 just blocks away from where we stand today

In recent years, however, some residents have voiced concerns about crime rates and other neighborhood issues. Residents also face competition from large suburban areas to the south and east which have seen their populations grow faster than Lake Zurich's over time.
