In fact, some people believe that ancient Egyptians hadbinoculARS (or “eyeballs”) which allowed them to see in greater detail than anyone else at the time! Today, there are many different styles and designs available when it comes to binoculars, but one important thing to note is that all these devices need light to function properly. Without light, these optics will not work well!

Lake Zurich is a large body of water located in central Illinois, about 25 miles north of the city of Chicago. The name was derived from the word "Zurich," which means "valley." The first European to visit and map this area was Giovanni da Verrazzano, who charted it in 1524. Lake Zurich was originally a part of the Shawnee Nation and was used for hunting, fishing and warfare. In 1814, when Congress created the Illinois Territory and made it an open-air park, Lake Zurich became one of its few natural features. The community that sprang up around Lake Zurich was founded by Swiss immigrants in 1847 as a farming town named Schönbrunn. It grew rapidly thanks to its fertile soil and good transportation connections. By 1870, Schönbrunn had become the largest town on the shoreline of Lake Zurich. Over time, other small towns were developed along the shores of the lake; each with its own shopping district and police department. In 1907, Schönbrunn became the focal point for international trade on the Chicago waterfront when it became home to both Sears & Roebuck's World's Fair Trade Building (later renamed Willis Tower) and American Tobacco Company's new manufacturing plant (now known as QuikTrip). Today much of what makes Schönbrunn such an important center for commerce has been lost within distance limits associated with modern day Chicagoland. Nevertheless, some remnants remain visible such as Ziegler's Department Store which still stands today at Second Avenue North between State Street and Michigan Avenue; Knoppers' Pharmacy which relocated from Wicker Park to downtownSchönbrunc in 1922; Richardsons landmark clothing store which still occupies space at Irving Plaza on West Side Highway; or Hirschfelds department store which moved from cornered lot at Clark Street near Madison Square Garden to Fourth Avenue South between State Street and Western Avenue in 1925.

Lake Zurich is a city in Illinois, United States. The population was 27,869 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. Lake Zurich was founded in 1847 by fur-traders and settlers from nearby Green Bay. The city's first mayor was George Stephenson. It became a full-time municipality in 1903. The citys two hospitals, Cook County Hospital and Northwestern Memorial Hospital, were both founded in 1907. In 1951, Lake Zurich joined the Metropolitan Chicago Area as one of its six new municipalities. The remainingfive merged into the City of Chicago on July 1, 1998. In 1902, Alex Comfort built what is now known as his Comfort Inn & Suites hotel on North Michigan Avenue near 87th Street in northwest suburban Cook County; it served as a base for operations during World War I and II for American troops stationed in Europe and Asia Pacific theater commands (the "Comfort Zone"). In 1957–58, he also constructed the first modern motel complex west of Chicagos Loop Road: Comfort Inn Marquette Park—later renamed to Hyatt Regency Marquette Park after Hyatt Corporation bought it from Alex Comfort in 1995—and then Hyatt Regency Midtown Tower (now Marriott Marquette Park). The original passenger station on Wabash Avenue east of US 31 opened on November 28, 1847 by John Haines with 4 coaches and sixteen passengers traveling to St Joseph’s Catholic Church at Joliet du Lac about 60 miles away; passenger service ceased October 15 th 1870 due to bad weather conditions On May 12 th 1875 locomotive number 612 pulled tourist train SS Wisconsin Rapids out of Geneva IL arriving at 2 p m CST bound for Herndon VA but engine #612 failed to start so crew had to abandon ship causing all passengers& mail to be lost
Lake Zurich was first settled by the Potawatomi in the late 1800s. The village of Lake Zurich was founded in 1875 and became a city in 1907. The city was enlarged several times, most notably in 1951 when it merged with the nearby town of Westchester to form the current city of Chicago.
