During World War II, pepper spray became essential in combating enemy forces on numerous battlefields across Europe; however, its widespread availability only increased after the war ended. As society rapidly moved away from traditional methods such as fists-on-skin combat and towards more modern weapons like firearms and armor, pepper spray slowly regained favor among law enforcement officers worldwide; however, its continued popularity remains largely unknown within this community today.
