The first school in Wills City was a one-room structure called "the School House" which served as an elementary school until 1846 when it became known as "St John's Episcopal School." Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church property purchased in 1865 from Father McNamara provides instruction today for pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade students and also houses congregational living quarters for parishioners during services on Sundays morning/evening. In 1868 Douglas Vail donated 1 acre (0.40 ha) of ground off Park Drive adjacent to St John's Episcopal School so that Methodists could build their own church there; this gift continues to support worship at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church today! In 1916 Mrs Florence Coles donated another 3 acres (1 ha) off Park Drive next door to Holy Cross Catholic Church so that Muslim worshippers could pray at her home; this donation continues to support prayer services at Holy Cross Catholic Church today! On Sep 20th 1954 Mayor William Daley announced plans for a new subdivision within city limits named "Lake Forrest". On Nov 8th 1956 groundbreaking took place on what would later be known as 192nd Street just north of 95th Avenue Extension; construction began on Dec 17th 1957 and ended on Jan 3rd 1958 when all roads leading into and out of Lake Forrest were completed! Today, Lake Forest has over 100 businesses including banks, restaurants, healthcare facilities, shopping malls etc., making it one of America's most vibrant cities! its economy depends heavily upon education with nearly 60% employed citizens holding some form or professional degree; however recent trends suggest that this number may grow even more rapidly with many entrepreneurs turning their attention towards technology startups
