The LaGrange Borough Council is made up of nine members with five elected from each of the nine wards that make up LaGrange Townships 1 through 8; four appointed by the Mayor with consent from each ward; one member chosen by the Common Council as chairperson; and one individual emergency representative who represents all residents within his or her ward without regard to political affiliation
