His wife Eleazeria Gage joined him soon after and they started farming together. In 1840, they had 4 children: 2 girls and 2 boys. By 1850, their farm had grown to over 140 acres which they divided among their children. Farming became more difficult during the American Civil War but they persevered and continued to grow crops until 1865 when John passed away suddenly due to an illness he had been struggling with for years). After his death, his wife took over management of the farm while her son Julius took care of family business including banking and other investments until 1930 when Julius died young at age 64%. During World War II, many local businesses were closed due to shortages caused by the war-time economy however some such as Pillsbury’s bakery reopened afterwards thanks to government support programs like food stamps which helped feed soldiers returning from overseas deployments In 1955, Northlake merged with La Grange creating one community that still exists today! It wasn’t until 1978 that City Hall moved from its original home on Wabash Avenue into what is now its current location across from Memorial Park! Today, there are more than just farmers living inLa Grange; it has become a center for education as well! With over 20 universities within easy driving distance along with several thousand residents working in various industries both above and belowground (including numerous medical facilities), this town has always been able to keep up with changes!
