By 1915, establishments such as Mr. Sweeney’s own store, Armour & Company had become well-known within the community for theirholster manufacturing operations. During World War II, Holsters & Ammo was located on State Street in La Grange Park and produced high quality holsters for both Axis and Allied forces alike. The company closed its doors in 1945 but it’s legacy will live on through its employees who continue to make holsters today at their business location on State Street in LaGrange Park

In 1978, Mr. Bob passed away and his son David took over operations at "Bob's Gunsmithing." In 1986, "The Armory" store was established and has been operated by the same family since then. In 1993, another store called "Cavalry Arms" opened up in La Grange Park and continues to operate today as one of the most popular concealed carry stores in town!

La Grange Park is a census-designated place (CDP) in LaGrange Township, Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,569 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The CDP was formed from a merger of two earlier CDPs: La Grange and Addisonville. La Grange Park is located on the border of LaGrange Township and Addisonville Township. It has a total area of . It borders the following municipalities: Addisonville to the north, Glen Ellyn to the east, Plainfield to the south, and Riverwoods to the west. The community sits on an older lowland that slopes down toward Lake Michigan. The original land for La Grange Park was donated by John Kinzie in 1887 as part of his gift to Plainfield Township. Addisonville Road runs through much of LaGrange Park; it leads from Addisonville towards Glen Ellyn and then continues northeast into Plainfield before turning south again nearRiverwoods Boulevard. According to the 2010 census, there are 1 569 people living in La Granga Park – 9% more than in 2000 but still below median household income levels (8300). The racial makeup of this community is 92% White European American and 8% African American; about one third are Hispanic or Latino residents. Of all households, 26% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55% were married couples living together, 10% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33% were non-families. About one quarter of all households were made up of individuals and 12% had someone living alone who was 65 years old or older.;
