Weapon flashlights have been around for many years and are a common sight in today's society. They are used to illuminate areas at night, give warning when there is an animal or person in the vicinity, or for other purposes. In Kewanee, Illinois, weapon flashlights were first introduced into the community in the late 1800s. At that time, kerosene lamps were not as common as they are today and people relied on guns to light up areas at night. One of the early creators of weapon flashlight technology was John Davenport. Davenport developed a device that could be powered by oil (or any other type of fuel) and used a beam of light to illuminate objects in range. The early weapon flashlight was very successful and quickly became popular among law enforcement officers and civilians alike.

T5 Lights: T5 lights were first developed by Tactical Solutions Incorporated in 2013. They use five Cree XP-G 2200 Lumens LEDs on each side of a single headlight unit. This allows the officer to see in darkness while still being able to use their hands when needed. The downside of using T5 lights is that they require batteries which can get expensive quickly; however, this is usually offset by their long battery life compared to other types of flashlight bulbs (usually around 5 hours when fully charged). C4 LED Flashlights: C4 LED flashlights were developed by David Shaw Research Corporation in 2010. They feature four Cree XP-G 2200 Lumens LEDs on each side of a single headlight unit with variable brightness settings from low power (25 lumens) up to high power (500 lumens). This allows the officer to see at night while still being able to use their hands for illumination purposes; however, it does require additional equipment such as a flasher or strobe device for turning ON/OFF your flashlight when you need it most! The downside of using C4 Led flashlights is that they have shorter battery life than regular leds (around 3 hours when fully charged) – so it may be best suited for less demanding applications such as unmarked patrol cars or trains where there’s no need for high powered lighting

Kewanee, Illinois is a small city in the southern portion of the U.S. state of Illinois. The population was 7,876 at the 2010 census, making it one of the most populous cities in Illinois and its surrounding counties. Kewanee is located on Kewanee Creek, about 20 miles (32 km) north-northwest of Chicago and 50 miles (80 km) east-southeast of Springfield. The first permanent Indian settlement in what is now Kewanee County was Fort Dearborn on the banks of the Sangamon River in 1795 by French colonists seeking to trade with Native Americans. The area became part of Indiana Territory when that territory was organized on February 14, 1802. On January 1, 1814, Congress passed an act creating Kanawha County which included all present-day Kane County as well as parts of Crawford and Stephenson Counties westward to where Stillwater Falls now stands. On July 1, 1815, a new county was created from land belonging to Knox and Wyandotte Counties eastward to where stillwater falls now stands; this resulted in Kankakee Township being ceded from Knox County to Kanawha County effective March 3, 1816. On October 16, 1861 – two days before Abraham Lincoln was inaugurated as President – a group composed mostly of white farmers met at Carbondale for "a purpose not fully understood" thereupon dynamited a bridge over the Sangamon River near present day Daviess Park East which had been built by Union troops during the American Civil War years earlier…. The town's founder John Neely Bryan called upon Lincoln "to come down here and save us from our own Gov't." When he arrived only minutes later local citizens had already set off fireballs into his buggy while he traveled down debtors' row towards town…..Kewanee's location made it easily accessible for early settler groups who were looking for land along or near Chicago's riverfront……In 1863 Colonel Robert Ewing purchased 640 acres (248 ha) southeast of town site from John Neely Bryan…Ewing planned to erect a cotton gin and other farm operations there but soon abandoned these plans after becoming embroiled in another conflict with neighboring landowners over water rights…..In 1865 Union General George Armstrong Custer reached Kewanee via wagon train after marching through central America following his ill-fated march across Missouri into Kansas providing cover for General James Buchanan’s forces assaulting Topeka….Custer halted his advance just short of Krewella creek where he encamped for several nights due to dwindling supplies and heavy losses sustained since reaching Kansas….As news spread throughout eastern Missouri about Custer's movements Indians began arriving en masse at Carbondale hoping to join their leader…."
Kewanee was founded in 1839 by John C. Kewanee and his wife, Rebecca. The town developed around a sawmill and grist Mill on the Arkansas River. The mills were abandoned in the early 20th century, but restoration began in the late 1960s. Kewanee is now a small town with a population of about 1,500 people.
