Gun magazines have a long and varied history in Huntley, Illinois. A variety of handguns, shotguns, rifles, and pistols have been manufactured here over the years. The first gun magazine (and probably the first in America) was published in 1795 by Captain John Floyd. It was called "The Louisville Gazette." In 1827, Captain James Brown established the first gunsmith shop in Huntley. He started it to supply arms to local militias against Native Americans. Brown also published a monthly Gun Magazine called "The Patriot" which served as the official journal of the village militia for many years. In 1836, Colonel Nathan Bedford Forrest became interested in guns and began manufacturing his own firearms at his plantation near Slaughterbeckville. He soon developed a strong interest in hunting game with rifle and shotgun ammunition and decided to start his own rifle company. He named it "Nathan Bedford Forrest Rifle & Shotgun Works". The company produced its first weapons in 1837-38. In 1840-41, General Scott tried unsuccessfully to invade Kentucky with an army of 11 thousand men under General Henry Halleck. As a result of this campaign, many frontier settlers began arming themselves with rifles from Kentucky muzzleloaders to protect themselves from possible Indian attack. Many new towns were founded around these settlements as people sought protection from Indian raiders and horsemen seeking wealth or women for sexual exploitation - all without having any idea about what they were getting themselves into! In 1845-46 Major Samuel Jones organized a successful hunt for buffalo on Rush Creek near Springfield Township (now part of Huntley). As a result of this event, much valuable meat was obtained and contributed greatly towards sparing the Appalachian Mountains from extermination by white hunters during this time period! This led directly to American involvement in World War II when ammo supplies became very important! Today there continue to be various types of gun magazines printed throughout America - both small town newspapers that publish once every week or so, as well as large metropolitan publications such as The New York Times!

Huntley, Illinois is a small town located in McLean County, Illinois. The population was 569 at the 2010 census. Huntley is part of the Springfield metropolitan area. The village of Huntley was organized on April 1, 1882, and became an independent municipality on January 1, 1927. It was named for General Arthur A. Hunt who served as United States Marshal for the Western District of Illinois from 1865 to 1868 and again from 1870 to 1872. Huntley is located in central Mclean County on the right bank of the White River. According to the 2010 census, its total area is , all of it land. The town lies along U.S Route 50 west of downtown Springfield and northeast of I-64 exit 173B (the only exit from I-64 that leads into Springfield). The White River forms much of the eastern border of Huntley; its mouth lies about two miles southwest of its centerline. The predominant topography in this rural community consists mostly of gently rolling hills with a few scattered homes and businesses situated near streams or rivers which provide drinking water for most residents. As one moves northeastward through Huntley towards Interstate 64, one begins to see more evidence that this community has been significantly impacted by growth within Springfield over recent decades: arterial streets run perpendicular to each other throughout much of town while commercial strips have been constructed near major shopping locales such as Walmart and KFC; many residences still retain their original architecture or are conversions/updates thereof dating back to when Huntsville was just a tiny hamlet tucked away on the eastern side of the White River Valley during what once were considered “ pioneer days” for Springfield’s agricultural basement – prior even to that city’s incorporation intoMcLean County! In short, while some aspects may not change materially since 2009 when mall expansion began adjacent eastbound I-64 at Exit 172A (southwest corner lot formerly occupied by now defunct Gopher Ford Supermarket), numerous new structures have arisen throughout Town Center Drive & Nearby Streets - including nearly 2 dozen highrise buildings built pursuant to approved plans submitted by developers working closely with City Manager Stanislaus Dutton – thus further emphasizing how rapidly & adversely Land Use Development within this highly populated suburban setting can take place…notwithstanding significant efforts made by several elected officials (including Mayor Pro Tem Stanislaus Dutton) duly responsive thereto thru their respective agencies charged with overseeing Village Affairs – often seemingly daily reports emanating directly FROM Village Manager Stanislaus himself – making it difficult if not impossible for Residents (& indeed virtually everyone else interested outside Of Village sidewalks) ever REALLY know what goes on inside THAT Veil between Governing Body & Community oversight?

The third type of magazine was the detachablemagazine . This appeared around 1945 and was designed by Eugene Stoner. Detachablemagazines allowed users to change out their ammunition for other weapons on-the-fly, making them much faster than traditional magazines which required prior warning before you could start firing your weapon

Huntley, Illinois is a town in McHenry County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,521 at the 2010 census. The community was founded in 1856 and named for General Andrew Hunt. It has been part of the Chicago metropolitan area since 1961. The first permanent settler in Huntley was James Fitzpatrick who arrived in 1856. Fitzpatrick's family moved to the town from Sugar Land, Texas in 1850. A post office called Fitzpatrickville was established in 1857, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1907. Fitzpatrickville settlers built a log cabin on a hill overlooking the village of Huntley on August 29, 1857. The first schoolhouse opened for instruction on October 10th that year by Father Francis Xavier Cavanaugh with twelve students under his wing. In 1861, General Anthony Wayne laid out a new township within McHenry County called Wayne Township and offered land to those who would move into it. Many residents chose to stay put and name their settlement after themselves or others from their original homes stateside: Andrew Hutton (New York), John Fenton ( Maryland), Peter Parker (Pennsylvania), Thomas Prentice (New England). On November 6th of that year, Andrew Hutton laid out lots 3 & 4 NW of Hughes Mill Site @ 17’ W extending 3 rods E of said lot #2 & across High St., now known as Frontage Rd., thence NNW to Whatcom Ln., thence WNW ½ mile through forest eastward to survey line drawn by Surveyor Samuel Gridley between said lots 7 & 8 NW of Hughes Mill site @ 17’ W extending 2 rods ENE said lot #1 & across Big Sauk River (@ above water mark) then SSE ½ mile through woods SW corner thereof to meeting place aforesaid where he had erected a Log House early this Spring [1861], when Knocht Bros operated sawmill near present day intersection of Frontage Rd./Big Sauk River
