The first firearms were brought to Harvey, Illinois by Mormon pioneers in the 1830s. The first shooting occurs in 1836 when a group of Mormons use their rifles to shoot an Indian off of the edge of a cliff.
Harvey was founded in 1875 by Harvey C. White, a Quaker printer and paper manufacturer. The town became a center of printing and publishing during the late 19th century, and its industries produced newspapers, magazines, books, pamphlets, and other products. In the early 20th century, Harvey became an important center for meatpacking and poultry production. It also developed into a major agricultural producer during this time. The town declined during the Great Depression of the 1930s but regained some of its previous prosperity in the postwar period. In recent years, Harvey has experienced significant growth as a bedroom community for Chicagoans seeking easy access to the city's expanding metropolitan area. The town's economy has been buoyed by high-quality manufacturing jobs in engineering and computer services; agriculture;and tourism.

Back in the 1800s, Arsenal Arms, a rifle company in London, produced military grade rifles which were distributed to soldiers all over the world. pistol companies such as Browning and Colt made similar products. However, it is interesting to note that these firearms were not just for civilians; they were used by armies and militias for warfare purposes. One of the first firearms apparel brands was Thompson & Hudson which originated from Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show in 1892. This company produced various clothing items including guns and ammunition belts. In 1903, Winchester began manufacturing their own firearms under the name “Winchester Bullets”. Interestingly enough, these rounds could be used with any type of firearm (rifles or pistols) as long as they had a standard reloading handle! The popularity of these products led to them being rebranded as “Winchester Firearms T-Shirts” in 1916. It wasn’t until after World War II that things started to change around firearms terminology; instead of calling them “guns” anymore, manufacturers started referring to their weapons as “tanks” or even simply “firearms”! After all, everyone knew what tanks were – large metal vehicles used for combat purposes! Gun manufacturers quickly realized that if they wanted their weapons to be seen as something more than just mundane objects on a shelf in a gun shop – they needed to start producing clothing specifically designed for advertising and marketing purposes! This is how we got our current understanding of firearm t-shirts history; through advertisements and marketing campaigns targeting both civilian and military audiences!

Harvey was a small town in the Illinois River Valley in 1847. At the time, it was the site of a sawmill and gristmill. Harvey post office was established in 1851, and remained in operation until it closed in 1928. In 1865, Harvey became the scene of one of the most significant events in its history when Fenton's Mill burned down. The blaze destroyed many homes and businesses, but also demonstrated to local farmers that they could rely on milling activities to support their economy. The fire also served as an impetus for investment in Harvey by several entrepreneurs who founded new businesses there. These businesses included Wm. Kapp & Sons (a grocery store), Hosea & Theo Pulte (a druggist), A&W Brewery (an ice cream parlor), and J.C. Penney Department Store (now Macy's). Since Harvey had no school system at the time, its residents continued to attend schools within commuting distance via wagon trains or horseback riding until after World War II when a public school district wasestablished there. The town has since experienced a resurgence with development efforts focusing on arts, culture, and tourism; however, some aspects of its history remain unchanged including its small sizerestricted population growth rate since the early 20th century
The Harvey, Illinois town was founded by the French in 1795. The first post office was established in 1812. The town went through several name changes before settling on its current name in 1849.
