In 1925, following World War II service members returning home brought about technological advances that would soon change how people live including radios which led to increased demand for goods bought at local merchants like groceries being transported long distances thereby eliminating some villagers who used wagon trains for transport instead . This increase in commuter traffic caused problems for businesses like grocery store owners because they had to factorinm into whether prices rose or not resulting in them having less money available to maintain shelves or buy more items during busy periods making it difficult for customers to purchase what they wanted without feeling pricey
