This small bag would later become known as the "Lincoln Bible." During World War II, many people from Glenview came to work at Camp Kilmer near Union City because it was available then as an open air military airbase that could be used for training pilots and other military personnel during World War II without having to go through peacetime restrictions placed on them like being drafted or serving out their enlistments concurrently with their civilian jobs). Many residents also worked at Jiffy Lube Supermarkets which were located just south of town off I-294 (now US-81) until they closed down in 2013 due to economic difficulties. All this changed abruptly when Emanuel Cleaver took office as Mayor of Chicagoland in 2003 and made mass transit his number one priority; hitherto freeway expansion within Cook County had been deferred until later gubernatorial appointments had been made subsequent thereto which allowed more surface transportation investments downtown/westward into Greater Chicago instead . By 2006 most notably Hennepin County Judge Rick Ziegler had announced plans for expanding Highway 54 southward past Maple Park Regional Airport onto MetroLink Line 3 providing direct service directly into downtown Minneapolis without ever reaching either St Paul or Bloomington; this project ultimately failed due largely to political opposition by powerful suburban interests opposed not only To Peaking Transportation’s impact on Redevelopment Agency land values but also fears over increased traffic congestion potential caused by new railroad lines being constructed concurrent with Link3 service . However even if Hennepin County Judge Rick Ziegler’s proposal did come about it would have likely required legislation changing State law governing Pike/Pine Corridor development thereby opening up yet another canker sore upon already precarious public finances within Illinois ."

However, this prosperity did not last long as rapid gentrification began to take hold in Downtown Chicago beginning in the late 1990s especially aided by Mayor Rahm Emanuel's 'ucha hucha' strategy which aimed to turn low-income neighborhoods into high-income areas by giving them tax breaks and other incentives while also creating a mayoralty seat for those living in poverty areas on city council inside old factories or other blighted locations across Chicagoland neighborhoods such as West Side Highway and Belmont Avenue near Navy Pier).
