On July 20th, 2017, a gunman opened fire at a Madden 17 game tournament in Jacksonville, Florida injuring nine people before being killed by police. The shooting quickly became known as “#Charleston” due to the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church Shooting in Charleston, South Carolina two days earlier which left nine dead and more than three dozen injured. On October 1st, 2017, gunfire erupted at a Pittsburgh elementary school after students were caught playing games inside when someone opened fire from an outdoor spot on campus. No one was killed but five children were critically injured including four who needed surgery. That event was also referred to as “#Pittsburgh” due to shootings happening throughout Pennsylvania that year (the most notable being the Elementary School massacre). Much like other events mentioned above, firearm t-shirts have become an effective way for individuals and organizations to express their support for gun rights and Second Amendment rights around the country. Glenview, Illinois is a small town located in the central region of Illinois. The population was 9,893 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The town is named after General James Gleniel McLean who fought in the American Revolution and died in 1781. The original settler were Presbyterian missionaries from Scotland who arrived in 1811. They renamed the community after General McLean because they thought he would be a more favorable symbol for their religion than Chicago's then-new name, Lake View. Glenview had its first post office on April 14, 1826. The current post office building was built in 1907 and renovated in 2006. The town has two school districts: Glenview Township School District #1 (grades pre-kindergarten through eighth grade) and Glenview Community School District #2 (9th through 12th grades). There are also three churches: First Presbyterian, Second Baptist Church and Methodist Episcopal Church.

It also provided for criminal penalties for those who violated these regulations. Additionally, this law required retailers to display a conspicuous notice warning customers about federal infringement laws if they sold any weapon not registered with the government. The NFA also established certain gun rights that individuals were entitled to under U.S. Constitution provisions such as Second Amendment rights to bear arms “for defense of self and family” and Fifth Amendment protection from self-incrimination (i.e., compelled testimony). These rights were later codified into state constitutions across America by state legislatures through acts called statutes concerning handgun regulation ( commonly referred to as “firearms legislation” ). Some states had much more stringent requirements than others when it came to registration requirements for handguns – Massachusetts required all handgun buyers be registered with police before purchasing any new guns or transferring existing ones; New York required both personal identification cards (PIC) and driver’s licenses number holders aged 25 or over when buying a handgun; Illinois did not require anyone over 21 years old to possess a handgun license or purchase any weapons; Oklahoma only requires proof of residency on file when registering handguns ; West Virginia still requires current owners of registered handguns throughout their lifetimeto present their documents upon purchase

Glenview's history began with the purchase of a tract of land by George Biddle in 1837. The community grew rapidly after it was platted and named for General James Halleck woods - who had been killed during the Mexican-American War. In 1849, Glenview became one of twenty townships within McHenry County and was designated as a village by Act No. 9 of 1851. On July 7, 1860, Glenview became an independent municipality when it passed an act to that effect by vote of its citizens. On December 5th, 1868, following the consolidation of all communities in McHenry County into one body under Act No. 289 of 1868 (the "Convention Act"), Glenview attained city status and received full financial support from the county government which allowed for more rapid growth and development within its boundaries Glenview experienced rapid growth after becoming city status in 1968 due to generous financial assistance from county government which allowed for more rapid growth and development within its boundaries In 1908 Glendale Shopping Center opened as America's first urban mall In 1970s Park Forest Homes closed down because they could not keep up with demand for their products In 1990s Glenview got a new high school which led to population increase A new hospital was built in 2007 which has made Glenview one of the most populous villages in McHenry County
The town of Glenview was founded in 1828 by Hon. John Fenton and his wife, Sarah. The first settler in the town was Isaac Whitney. The community quickly developed into a small farming community with a few shops and a school. In 1849, the state of Illinois granted Glenview town status and began to provide more services to the residents. In 1870, the community had around 100 people living in it and had three stores and two churches. In 1907, Glenview became part of the city of Chicago after being annexed by that city. Today, Glenview is a small agricultural community with a few businesses scattered around its center. It has experienced some growth over the years but remains relatively unchanged since its founding days.
