Today, Glennview is home to three major rifle ammunition manufacturers - Winchester Repeating Arms Company (WRAP), Savage Arms Corporation (SABRE), and Remington Arms Company (REX). In 1916, the first hydroelectric power plant was constructed at Glens Falls Creek near Glenview Village. Today,Glen View is one of Illinois' most populated communities with over 5,000 residents living within its borders.
