Atop Citizen's Square lived corn wholesaler JB Litton who operated his establishment outfitted with indoor plumbing and running water service until his death in 1922 (!), leaving behind an impressive legacy including one never before duplicated indoors: complete indoor plumbing services were available throughout all floors/zones within Litton Corn Store through 1924! From here began what may have been America’s earliest skyscraper campaign Retail Row began sprouting highest skyscrapers dotting Downtown Glen Elnys skyline beginning around 1890 soon followed by Northern Trust Building completed 1889 becoming tallest building complex in U S at 953 feet / 229 m tall
