In 1932 Wm Crain built a home here and later developed an insurance company based here which still exists today as Crain Insurance Company Limited. Fenton's Brewery was also founded here in 1932 by Wm Crain and continues to operate to this day as one of Glen Carbon's most popular businesses with over 50 years experience!
