Franklin Park is a small town in the northwestern portion of the U.S. state of Illinois, close to the Indiana border. It lies on the west bank of the White River, about 12 miles (19 km) south-southwest of Chicago and 8 miles (13 km) north-northwest of Madison Heights. The area now comprising Franklin Park was first settled by early European explorers in what is now central Illinois around 1780. The first scopes used for astronomical observation were built in 1802 by Captains John Quincy Adams and James K. Polk at a site near present day Harrisonburg, Virginia under auspices of the American Association forthe Advancement of Science. The following year, Adams and Polk erected two telescopes at Franklin Park, one with an aperture of 10 inches (25 cm), and another with an aperture greater than 20 inches (51 cm). In 1804, President Thomas Jefferson commissioned surveyor George Stephenson to map out a system for surveying all Illinois lands that would eventually form Springfield Township. This new township was named after then-President James K. Polk as part as Thanksgiving Day gift from his predecessor to commemorate their collaboration on this important project together during Polk's term in office as Secretary of War (1849-1853). In 1881, Drs Samuel Hundley and Augustus Herney developed a refractor telescope which became known as "Herrey's Hundley Telescope". After its construction at Franklin Park Observatory it soon became one of America's most famous observing sites providing views from across North America including Alaska througholl Mexico City Chile Buenos Aires Canada Vancouver Washington Dalles International Space Station

Another common type of Telescope is called a reflector telescope. These devices use mirrors to collect sunlight onto an eyepiece in order to view objects located inside their operating area. Reflectors can be made from any kind of material - including metal - so they can be placed in almost any environment imaginable! However, because reflectors rely on direct sunlight rather than artificial illumination like telescopes do, they are generally less powerful than aperture Telescopes or binocular Telescopes. One final type of Telescope is known as a darkroom telescope! These devices use special optics in order to collect images or videos taken by other Optical Devices such as Cameras or Lenses! Darkrooms often require higher power capabilities compared to other types of Telescopes/Telescopic Devices since they need to capture extremely high-resolution images or videos capable Of showing detail much greater than what could be seen with lower powered equipment such as aperture telescopic devices or binoculars

Franklin Park is a public park located in the city of Chicago, Illinois. The park was formally dedicated on October 26, 1892 by Mayor Nicholas Fenton and consisted of 1,362 acres (500 km2) of land that surrounded the current site of the park. The original land was donated by James K. Polk II, brother of then-President James K. Polk. Franklin Park originally included only a small portion of present-day Chicago; most of its area today is located in the western part of the city and east side of Lake Michigan. The first structure at Franklin Park was a wooden building called "The Grove" which served as an observation post for military forces during World War I. In 1916, work began on constructing what would become known as "The Great Lawn". The $10 million project was completed in 1918 and featured a parade ground, tennis courts, 400-meter track, four football fields (including one that still remains), a lakefront promenade, and several buildings including two auditoriums and one library). In 1933, German Americans were arrested during President Franklin D. Roosevelt's “ Fair Deal” administration because they were suspected of being Communists or sympathizers with Germany. This led to increased tension between American Jews and Germans in America due to anti-Semitism throughout most OFWEX policies as well as race riots triggered by angry mobs across America following other events such as FDR's statement condemning “ Nazi tyranny” while visiting Berlin
