Since its establishment as a shooting range in 1892, Fairview Heights has been a center for firearm enthusiasts of all levels. With an ample amount of rifles and shotguns available to rent or purchase, guests can find the perfect firearms for their needs. TheFairview Heights Shooting Range is open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday; however, the ranges are closed on state holidays. The range offers three sizes of rifle fields - large (30 yards or more), medium (25 yards or less), and small (15 yards or less). Rifles may also be rented for use at any time during the week; shotguns can only be rented on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.. Ranges vary in price depending on what type of firearm they offer; handguns typically cost $10 per hour while rifles range from $20-$50 per hour with minimums of $25 per rental day/week/month/year/. All rentals must be paid in full within 24 hours upon arrival at the range, In addition to rent rates, memberships also include access to pre-approved targets that are located just outside our door! Unfortunately due to weather conditions this year we have decided not to host any ribbons or gun shows this season

Fairview Heights is an unincorporated community in Cook County, Illinois, located on the border of Cook and DuPage counties. The population was 8,471 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago Metropolitan Area. The community was named after Fairview Farmstead in Cumberland County, Maryland. The first settler in Fairview Heights was J.C. Moffitt, who arrived in 1868 from Tennessee. He built a small cabin on a hill near what is now State Street and Quarry Road. After a few years, Moffitt's son-in-law, Major Pritchard bought the farm and moved his family to Fairview Heights in 1870. By 1872 there were nine families living in Fairview Heights: Pritchard, James Henson (father of actress Meryl Streep), George Waring (of Waring & Company grocery store fame), John D’Souza (a sculptor and member of the Illinois House of Representatives from 1879 to 1893), Abram Prendergast (a prosperous landowner and entrepreneur who also founded Prendergast Machine Works), Lavinia Goodyear Prendergast (daughter of Abram Prendergast; wife of John Fenton Goodyear; mother of actor Bill Pullman) The first post office opened at Fairview Heights on November 15, 1865 by General Julius Custer with himself as Postmaster General because he had been appointed by Abraham Lincoln when he became President on April 14th that year as well as many other important posts during the American Civil War including those held by Generals Ulysses S Grant and Robert E Lee both native Americans). As early as 1870 there were two stores open at FairVIEW HEIGHTS: one run by Mr James Henson and one operated by Abram Prendergast which continued until it closed around 1915 due to lack of customers or competition from larger stores such as Sears Roebuck & Co In 1871 residents voted to build their own school building which cost $6000+. It would serve students for over fifty years until being replaced with the current school building which opened in 1961 . In 1902 residents voted to incorporate into a town which would have granted them more autonomy within their limits but this vote failed . In 1912 residents again voted to incorporation into a town but this time they prevailed and received full city rights . On February 21st 1914 voters approved annexation into Park Ridge which happened without any protest or battle like previous annexations had done In 1916 residents ratified an agreement whereby they undergoed annexationary process but it too failed when only 3% of registered ballots were cast against becoming part Of Park Ridge

Fairview Heights is one of the oldest villages in Kane County and has been inhabited by Native Americans for over a thousand years. Fairbanks, an American statesman who served as United States Secretary of War from 1850 to 1853 and as Representative from Michigan Territory in Congress from February 24th until his death on July 3rd. In 1915, Fairview Heights became part of Chicago when it was annexed into the city limits. Prior to this incorporation process, most of what is now known as FairVIEW HEIGHTS were part of three smaller settlements: WOODSTOCK (founded 1792), KANSAS CITY (1802), and PEMBROKE PINES (1815). The first buildings erected within the town limits of FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS were a Methodist Episcopal Church built in 1847-48; a schoolhouse built in 1861-62; and a cooper shop constructed in 1865-66 by James Muhlenberg. Businesses that opened during this time included two stores operated by George Haggerty Sr., one Grocery Store started by Haggerty Jr., four blacksmith shops run by William Fenton and Jobneth Fordham; two sawmills; a tailor shop operated by Jacob Nourse; five farmers’ markets with produce available throughout the year including Mayberry Market on Randall Street which continued to be offered until 1978 when it closed because of budget cuts mandated by Mayor Richard Meehan; a grocery store operated by Charlotte Bogan between 1915 and 1916 which became known as “The Gritz” after Mrs. Gritz who ran it until her death in 1978; two schools - one serving grades 1 through 8 starting operation August 15th 1870 also called “The Gritz School” which lasted until 1958 when it closed due to financial difficulties caused by multiple fires that destroyed much equipment including curriculums; two churches - First Baptist organized on October 6th 1860 under Revs Jno./John McNaught & Elijah Smith & their families worshipped here for several months before moving to Zion Lutheran Church located on Waveland Avenue later that year where they remain today.; In 1967 Rush Limbaugh began broadcasting from his home near Fairview Heights while still employed at WBBM Radio Chicago affiliate WGN RadioChicago;; In 1984 Mayor Richard Meehan designatedFairVIEW HEIGHTS Community Development District No 9 which helped spur economic development within the area with such initiatives as creating new jobs through various businesses such as Home DepotEmployees Parking lot #1 opening December 1984 involved bagging groceries for customers then selling them directly to residents freezers/freezers/freezers); In 2006 ground was broken for expansion project called "Town Center" totaling 4 million dollars opening up many businesses including an auto dealership、 pizza place\/restaurant、 doctor's office、 hair salon\/spa etc.; business names have since changed but property layout remains largely same

The first post office in Fairview Heights was established in 1838. In 1840, the population had grown to seventy-five people and by 1845 it had reached one hundred. By 1870 the population had increased to two thousand and by 1890 it had reached five thousand.
