Barrels are a 30-round magazine for firearms. The barrel is the device that delivers ammunition to the firing cycle of a firearm, and it is also the part of a weapon that is used to produce muzzle energy and stabilize the projectile in flight. Fairview Heights is a small town in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,831 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The name Fairview Heights comes from two early settlers, John and Lois Fairview, who were residents of what is now known as the Village of Fairview.
The village was organized on November 15, 1871 when ten families located along Diversey Avenue in what is now Forest Park formed an agricultural society to raise crops and sell goods that they produced themselves. They named their new community after George Washington Fairview (1789-1865), one of their earliest landowners and first mayor of Chicago. In 1876 the society purchased land east of Diversey Avenue from the DuPage County Land Board for $1 per acre and began to build a farmstead which they called "FairVIEW". A post office was established at "FairVIEW" on December 16, 1876.
The growth of Chicago led to increased demand for farmland in north central Illinois so by 1880 fairVIEW had grown to encompass Overland Park Township (later Orland Park), Elmhurst Township (later Englewood Cliffs), Harrisonburg Township (later Mount Prospect), Creston Township (later Wheaton) and parts of Leighton Buzzard Township ( later Glencoe). On July 1, 1902fairVIEW became a city with a population over 500 when it annexed portions of Harrisonburg Township including Bellevue Hill and Newton Square; Creston Township; LaGrange County; Evanston County; South Elgin County Finally on January 1 1915 fairVIEW annexed all but one portion of Glencoe from Wheaton Borough making it a city again with its own government having been created as part of annexation process
On May 30th 1921fairVIEW lost its charter as an independent city due to lack contributions from members following incorporation into Cook county government

Fairview Heights is a city in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 362 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. Fairview Heights was founded in 1881 as a small settlement on the west side of Chicago by Irish immigrants. The settlement grew to include a large community on the east side of Chicago, and in 1904 it became a separate city.
The town achieved its current form when it merged with neighboring South Side village of Bucktown in 1907. Prior to that, Fairview Heights had been an unincorporated area adjacent to Bucktown and Gladstone Park on the west side of Chicago; these areas were annexed by Fairview Heights when it formed its own city government. In 1909, Edgewater Park, a large park located on Lincoln Road between Garfield Boulevard and North Avenue in Bucktown was annexed into Fairview Heights as well, making it one of the first areas in Cook County to be annexed into another municipality.
In 1925, the City Council passed an ordinance establishing limits onacist discrimination within municipal boundaries; this ordinance has since been amended numerous times, most recently in 1994. At that time also came about what is now known as "the night shift" or "working hours amendment" to the ordinance which allows employees working overnight hours (before 9pm) access to benefits normally only available during regular business hours - such as paid sick days and vacation days - without having their wages withheld until they are able to exhausted those benefits within 24 hours. This amendment helped create what is today known as "the night shift."

On May 10, 1848, the first post office was established in Fairview Heights. The town of Fairview Heights was organized on July 1, 1851.
