I was recently in the Evergreen Park, Illinois area and took some photos of some red dot sights. I found that there have been various red dot sight designs over the years in this area. In 2006, the business was sold to S&W Corporation.
Evergreen Park is a suburb of Chicago, located in the northwest side of the city. It was founded in 1887 by lumber baron John P. Morgan and his wife, State Senator Harriett L. Crane. The name comes from a grove of trees on the property where Morgan and Crane had their home built. The population of Evergreen Park increased from 5,000 in 1880 to more than 100,000 by 1920. In recent years, however, Evergreen Park's population has declined as a result of its distance from downtown Chicago and its lack of education opportunities for residents. Its only public high school closed in 2001 and most residents attend private schools or charter schools. Evergreen Park is one of eight townships that make up the City of Chicago; it is not part of the city's official political boundaries. The township has no elected officials other than police officers and trustees who manage township funds used for local services such as libraries, parks, roads and water systems. The first settlers to live in what is today Evergreen Park were men who purchased land near what is now North Avenue and West Side Highway between 1887-1890 from John P. Morgan himself plus some family members accompanying him on his trip westward across America during the American Revolution (the route he took). These pioneers included Myron Ladd (whose father also bought land east of town), James Doane (a brother-in-law of John P.'s), George Armstrong Calkins (from Indiana) and others who made similar purchases over time until all but Doane sold their holdings back to Morgan within two years after arriving in Illinois Territory at Fort Dearborn on April 12th, 1892 - about two months after statehood was granted to the United States! At that point all but Doane were naturalized U.S citizens which meant they could vote! A few decades later another group settled there - men prospecting for oil underbrush along Wabash River south of present day Lincolnwood Boulevard - led by Nathan Sargeant when he struck it rich with gas reserves discovered just north/west near Kedzie Arsenal! His wells put an end to rapid migration out west because production ceased abruptly due to adverse weather conditions... leaving behind small communities clustered aroundChicago’s southern limits like Des Plaines (northwest corner), Evanston (southwest corner), Wilmette ( northwest corner) Racine Heights annexation 1945

Evergreen Park, Illinois, is a city in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 11,877 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The first settlement in what is now Evergreen Park was near the present-day intersection of Wabash and Fullerton Streets. A post office called "Evergreen Park" was established in 1835, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1907. In 1846, a schoolhouse and outhouses were built on the site of what is now South Shore Drive; these too remain standing today as part of Evergreen Park's landscape. The first citizenry of Evergreen Park were Greek Orthodox Catholics who came from Russia to Indiana during the American Civil War to fight for independence from Great Britain. In 1853, the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad (C&NW) built its line through Ever Green Park south to West Side Avenue; this made it possible for people living east of State Street to reach downtownChicago easily. By 1870, there were over 100 homes in Evergreen Park. The opening of Soldier Field on October 10th 1893 made football an official sport in Illinois and evergreen park became home to one of Chicagos most famous stadiums ever! This event helped bring economic stability and prosperity to the community which would continue until well into the 21st century when suburbanization began making Dearborn Heights one of Chicagos largest neighborhoods outside Downtown Chicago
The Evergreen Park neighborhood was once home to prosperous farmers and their families. The area now includes the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, which has drawn students and faculty from all over the Midwest since its inception in 1879.
