Evergreen Park is a small town located in the northwest corner of Illinois. The population was 5,362 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The first settlers to Evergreen Park were Methodist missionaries who came from Greenville, South Carolina in 1837. They founded what is now known as St. Peters Church on State Street in 1838. In 1847, the United States bought the land that makes up today's Evergreen Park from the Chatham Company for $5,000 and named it after a tree in Philadelphia's Franklin Square park. The community was incorporated as a village on December 6, 1851, and became a city on April 4, 1893. Evergreen Park had an estimated population of 7,500 by 1950 but this number declined to 5,362 by 2000 due to several factors including suburbanization and loss of jobs in downtown Chicago. However, there has been recent growth with new businesses being opened in both the downtown area and around Lake Zurich Boulevard which runs through the heart of town. Today Evergreen Park features many parks such as Grosse Pointe Woods (a preserve), Ridgeway Trails (a bike path), Hyde Park Community Center (an open-air amphitheater) and Saint Ignatius Catholic Church which was built specifically for church services within walking distance of most homes. There are also several restaurants and bars surrounding Lake Zurich Boulevard where residents can enjoy evening entertainment or take advantage of local day trips or shopping opportunities nearby while still being close to their families or work obligations.
The history of gun chokes can be traced back to at least the 1800s when handguns were first used in combat. After being invented by Nicholas-Jacques Conte, a French infantry officer, this Revolutionary behavior modification device allowed soldiers to shoot while holding their firearms with one hand. This innovation was soon adopted by other armies and led to the development of shotguns in the late 19th century. Shotguns became popular among law enforcement officers and militias because they could be used for shooting birds or small game without having to remove the firearm from the user’s hand. At this point, however, handgun chokes had already become an important part of military doctrine. Choke devices were more commonly found on pistols than on shotguns because handguns are easier and faster to fire than shotguns. The first handgun choke was developed by Major John Mauti in 1873 for use with his new .44 caliber Springfield rifle. Gunfighters using muzzleloaders or percussion grenades would often need help cocking their weapons since these weapons fired rounds that could easily enter and exit the barrel quickly. A choke that prevented these rounds from entering and exiting the barrel prematurely might be necessary in order to maintain accuracy during battle. The early handguns used a variety of different types of muzzles: those made of metal or cloth; those designed for sporting purposes such as buffalo horn or soft rubber; and those made specifically for target practice, such as those pioneered by Captain George Washington Hiller during the American Revolution (1775-83). Because most handgun chokes were effective against all types of ammunition, it was not until after World War I that pistol shooters began using specific types of choke tubes (called “safety stocks”) that limited magazine capacity to nine rounds instead of twelve rounds like common guns before then permitted unlimited magazine capacity (the current National Firearms Act allows fifteen rounds per weapon). Gun chokes continued to evolve over time as technology improved. In 1932, Colonel Harry Morse developed a type of handgun choke known as Positive Choke which prevented bullets from passing through any openings other than the muzzle end thereof without detonating prematurely inside the gun itself (this type is still occasionally encountered today on some modern revolvers)). By 1937, almost every major manufacturer had introduced a choking device into their lineups, making it much easier for shooters to achieve consistent accuracy with their firearms throughout an entire range cycle regardless of ammunition type. One reason why these devices became so popular was due largely to advances in manufacturing process technology which caused choked chambers within firearms even less wear and tear over time than unchoked chambers did initially- thus allowing shooters greater flexibility when fine tuning their aiming techniques during long range engagements

Today it has a diverse population that includes people from all over North America as well as South America, Europe, Asia Pacific Rim countries (including Australia), Africa, and Latin America. In addition to its core businesses - such as retail stores, restaurants, medical care facilities, libraries/courses/community centers - Evergreen Park has become an important cultural center for Chicago's metropolitan area. Evergreen Park was founded in 1866 by members of the Illinois General Assembly. The city's name is derived from Evergreen, a tree that grows on a hill in the park.
