However, over time some companies developed innovative designs for binoculars that helped them gain a comeback in the 1960s. During the 1960s, there was a resurgence in interest inbinocularity as it was seen as a way to improve one's overall understanding of objects at different distances. Some early adopters of Binocularity include Neil Armstrong and Bill Gates who both used it while making various contributions to technology throughout his life. Elk Grove is a city located in DuPage County, Illinois, United States. The population was 53,902 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The name "Elk Grove" was first given to an area lying tract of land now east of the city limits and extending from what are now north side streets on the west bank of the Calumet River to State Street on the east bank. The original grantees were John Pemberton and his brother Ebenezer Kapp. A post office called Elk Grove was established in 1812, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1901. The first settlers arrived in this area early in 1818 when John Stephenson organized a party of men under his command and journeyed downriver from Prairie du Chien to spend winter there. He named his new settlement after two elk he killed while hunting near modern day Elmhurst, IL; “Elk” meaning deer or animal (and “Grove” being where he foundered his boat). John Stephenson's heirs sold title to the town site to Captain Nathaniel Cook for $1,500 on December 11, 1821. Cook had been captain of one of General James Hennepin's forces that had invaded Canada during the War for Independence and briefly occupied Fort Dearborn before withdrawing back to America by January 1, 1822. He set up shop as a hard-to-get-ahead trader along both sides of Chicago River before finally settling permanently at Broadway and Diversey Streets about four miles east of downtownChicago on May 3, 1824." This location would later become home to one of Chicago's most important institutions; Cook County Jail which opened its doors on October 27th,, 1889 just steps away from where today Elmhurst stands."

The community is also home to several parks which include the Elmwood Park Zoo and Prairie Glen Parkade - both located just north of I-90 exit 183A off I-290/I-94 southbound on State Road 2 (CR–2) within walking distance of each other. In addition to its large downtown area, Elk Grove features smaller neighborhoods scattered throughout its rural Setting Hills area to the east; these neighborhoods offer moreindependence from larger businesses while still being close access to shopping centers such as Walmart and Sears within driving distance or less than two hours by public transportation from Downtown Chicago through Airport Area exits 183B & 183C (I-294 Exit #309). The City of Elk Grove contains four wards: Central Ward 1 (northwest side), Central Ward 2 (southwest side), Northside Ward 3 (east side), Southside Ward 4 (west side). Each ward representatives are elected using partisan voting method with three major parties represented: Daley/Rahm Emanuel(1st ward), Bruce Rauner(2nd ward),and Jillette Kross(3rd ward) running for office together forming what is called 'the Rainbow Coalition.' This coalition tries to work together in order not only make common sense changes but they all have different backgrounds so that when they come up with something new no one feels left out or alone when it comes time for them to vote on it because everyone knows their role inside this group!
The Elk Grove Village community was formed in 1892 when the two largest Elmira companies, De Witt and Sons No. 1 and 2, merged. The new company name was used until 1916 when it changed to Ives & Company. In 1918, the company merged with the locally based Pemberton Manufacturing Company to form Ives-Pemberton Industries. In 1926, Ives-Pemberton Industries became part of Armour Shearling Corporation.
