Edwardsville is a town located in Edwards County, Illinois, United States. The population was 9,912 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. Edwardsville was founded in 1847 by John Brown and his family. In 1865, General Ulysses S. Grant visited Edwardsville and ordered the burning of several homes due to their lack of fire protection. This event is considered to be one of the earliest examples of public backlash against private firefighting activities in America. In 1892, the city fathers passed an ordinance that prohibited shooting from any open space within 100 feet (30 m) of any house or business. This ordinance has been repealed more than once but it remains one of the most archaic gun laws in America. It was only after a series of shootings which killed five people and injured twenty-one in 1995 that Mayor Tom Beinecke finally implemented a Gun Free Zone statute in Edwardsville which banned all open carry without a permit from 10 p.m.–6 a.m., with exceptions for law enforcement officers or those with valid hunting or fishing licenses who are accompanying their registered dogs on outdoor excursions authorized by local officials

Edwardsville is a small town in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The Edwardsville post office has been in operation since 1881. The first settler in what is now Edwardsville was Levi Moody, who arrived from Vermont in 1827. He and his family built a log cabin on the banks of the Rock River and named it "Moody's Grove". In 1851, John Prentice purchased the farm and moved his family to Edwardsville from New York City. In 1863, Isaac Weems bought land east of town from Moody and continued to farm there until his death in 1903. His son-in-law Harry Smeaton also bought land east of town from Isaac Weems, which he divided among himself and his children before selling it all to George Fenton in 1916. Fenton became an ammunition manufacturer and helped turn Edwardsville into a major munitions center during World War I; after the war he donated most of his property to the community for use as a public school district (now known as Deerfield Township). After Fenton's death in 1924, his widow sold most of her land back to George Fenton Jr., but kept some for herself for development into what is now Edwardsville High School.. An elementary school was built on part of this original high school site between 1940 and 1945; that building served as both an elementary and middle school until 1984 when Edwardsville merged with nearby Deerfield Township to form one large community called Deerfield Township II . In 1952, Edwin Cope erected a frame house on Main Street just north of present day Center street which functioned as headquarters for local radio station WDAS until 1974 when WBEZ took over operations. That same year saw the opening of what would eventually become Edwardsville's only shopping mall - Malls Now! - located off NorthMain Street across from KFC

Here is a overview of each type: One common type of shooting protection device is a case. Cases can come in many shapes and sizes, but they all share one common goal - to protect your firearm from damage or theft. There are two main types of cases - hardshell case and softshell case. Hardshell cases are made from heavy duty plastic or metal that is specifically designed to withstand gunfire and impact. They usually have an insert that fits into a recess on the front or back of the case, creating a secure fit for your firearm. Softshell cases are made from softer materials such as rubber or cloth that can be torn apart easily and placed inside the recess on the front or back of the case, providing enough space for your weapon but not so much that it becomes difficult to carry/use. While both types offer some additional benefits over traditional hardshell cases (see below), there is no one perfect solution for protecting your firearms against damage or theft. It ultimately comes down to personal preference as to which type of case you prefer: Hard Shell Cases: These Cases come in both standard and special size varieties depending on what kind of firearm you own; they typically measure about 2”x2”x8” when complete but can range up to 12”x12”x24” with an insert (hard shell models also come with an extra-deep depression on top for easier storage). Hard shells feature raisedlip sides, making them look like something out of a science fiction movie rather than just another piece of ammo storage gear! Most owners choose these options because they provide superior security against tampering – someone trying to pry open your gun without knowing where it is would be extremely difficult without having access too important pieces like screws, hinges, etc…soft shells however do lack this level security features and often fall victim to thefts due their lightweight nature (most soft shells weigh less than 1lb). Because hard shells require specialized tools (like dremel tool)to remove part(s) from them for replacement purposes, they may not be suitable for all firearms; if you don't want something that requires special tools just go with a soft shell instead! Hard Shell Case Specifications: The hardness rating given should correspond roughly with how tough it is meant to be treated according as noted above….. A harder casing will take greater abuse before giving up its strength In general though I would recommend using higher rated casings whenever possible due exposure time will increase exponentially when attempting repair/replacement work.. Although higher quality mil-spec hard shells do exist there isn't really anything wrong with using lower quality equivalents if desired However I generally wouldn't advice anyone outside my experience level use any lower grade cased ammunition Save perhaps high-end calibers like .308 Win whereHigher quality may well be necessary SoftShell Cases: SoftShells vary greatly in terms design & function compared To Hard Shell Casings however overall Functionality & Design tends To Be Much Same…. Unlike Hard Shells which require specialized tools For repairs Or Replacements The Soft Shell often Uses Common Tools& techniques You already Have At Home! Which Means No Dremel Required And Very Little stress When popping off parts For repairs….soft shell products Are Often quite colorful With bright graphics To Draw ATTENTION From Anyone Who might try To tamper With Your Property softshell products Come In All sorts Of Colors But Most Often A Red Or Black And Some Bright Green Or Yellow So They Can nearly mimick The Appearance Of An Actual Gun Took me awhile To figure Out What It Was For How Does It Affect Shooting Ability Afterall Its Just Another Piece Of Ammunition Clothing Once On My Gun If Its Broken So I Could Go Ahead And Use It As Is But If Its Damaged Then I Would HaveTo Go Through THE hassle OF Rebuilding It

Edwardsville, Illinois is a small town in the northwestern corner of Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 8,362 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area and is one of the most ethnically diverse towns in Illinois. Edwardsville's rich history can be found from its incorporation as a village on December 12, 1848 to its current status as a city on April 24, 1907. The earliest settlers in Edwardsville were farmers who arrived from Connecticut in the early 1800s. By 1825 there were about 10 people living in what would become Edwardsville. In 1827 James Fenton bought 640 acres (250 km²) of land that he named "Fenton's Prairie." He built a farm house and store here which remains standing today. In 1829 Edward Mautz acquired 1,600 acres (500 km²) of land east of Fenton's Prairie and named it "Mautz's Prairie." He also built a farm house here which still stands today. In 1847 John Hutton founded the town of Edwardsville with his family after purchasing 3 square miles (8 km²) of land in Rock Island County from Peter Buell for $1 per acre ($10 per hectare). The first settler-elected officials were James Clements and John Wirthman Jr.. On December 12,1848, Edwardsville was incorporated as a village with an enrollment of only 9 residents. The first mayor was Michael Dennison. In 1907 Edwardsville became an incorporated city under Mayor William Ewing with an enrollment exceeding 507 residents including 454 males and 232 females. At that time it was one of Indiana's largest cities by population with over 20 businesses located within its limits alone! Today there are over 60 businesses operating within our city limits alone! Edwardsville has had many different economic successions since its incorporation as a village; through agriculture (farming), manufacturing (steelmaking), service industry (truckdriving), real estate/land development/commercial agriculture/commerce until recently beingdeclared “the most diverse small city” in America by Forbes! Today we are proud to call ourselves “the City That Works” because we have invested heavily into job growth and defensive infrastructure such as public transportation systems & digital signage throughout our downtown core while creating new opportunities for businesses to locate right near us – making us easier than ever for everyone to get around town!
Edwardsville was founded in 1847 by the Edwards brothers, who named it after John Quincy Adams. The town grew rapidly during the 1830s and 1840s, reaching a population of over 12,000 by 1850. It emerged as a leading center for cotton production in Illinois, and its mills produced some of the finest cloth available. In addition to its economic importance, Edwardsville also became a vital cultural center; its public schools were among the best in Illinois. The town's fortunes declined during the late 19th century, however, as heavy industry supplanted agriculture as the mainstay of local economy. By World War II, Edwardsville had fallen into disrepair and had little opportunity to recover from its recent decline. However, since then it has slowly resurgence and grown back up to its former glory; today it is one of Illinois' most robust communities.
