In 1896, he opened what would eventually become known as his flagship store – The Armoury – on Harrison Street in Edwardsville. Here he sold both reloading supplies and Gun Powder (now shot shells). He also did some initial marketing for his products before opening up a showroom inside his store in 1903 which housed displays of all kinds of firearms including cannons, pistols, rifles, shotguns, artillery pieces and more! In 1933, Armour Ammunition merged with Winchester Repeating Arms Company to form Winchester Repeating Arms Company Limited. In 1939, Armour Ammo merged with Peacemaker Firearms Corporation to form Peacemaker Firearms Corporation Limited. In 1951, Peacemaker Firearms Corporation Limited changed its name to Springfield Armory Incorporated.

Edwardsville is a small city in the state of Illinois, United States. The population was 11,752 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Sangamon County. In 1855, two brothers named Levi and George Wagoner founded an agricultural colony called Galesburg on west side of town from where they ran a farm until 1870 when they sold it to John Prentice Cooke Sr., who built what is now known as Cooke Hall Court House on High Street in Edwardsville (now home to Northwestern Illinois University). On July 1, 1860, President Abraham Lincoln signed into law The General Agreement for Safety and Commerce Between the United States and Canada which created the Canadian National Railway Company with headquarters in Galesburg; this organization formed what would become known as Illinois Central Railroad Company with its main line running through Galesburg from north to south along State roads 100 and 109 intersecting at Plainfield Avenue just south of downtown; railroad construction began shortly thereafter with one train per day traveling between Chicago and Galesburg via Plainfield Avenue! In 1865, Edward Everett Kelleher became president & general manager & company treasurer for ICC&G when it absorbed The Northern Pacific Railroad Co.; under Kelleher's leadership ICC&G constructed seven new stations including Edwardsville Terminal which opened January 9th, 1867! In 1872 Edward Everett Kelleher appointed his son Edward Clinton Kelleher as Executive Vice President & CFO; under EDKKEH's guidance ICC&G experienced rapid growth reaching $2 million by 1880! On April 15th 1881 Union Pacific Railroad reached Orleans station enroute from St Louis Missouri over I-80/I-90 bridge across Big Muddy River; this event marks completion of long awaited “Great Western” branch linking Chicago (& other eastern cities) with western Union territories! On October 10th 1907 Stephenson Bros.'s depot was destroyed by fire while being used for storage purposes following tornado damage to several other depots nearby; this devastating loss prompted city fathers to start building a new Depot on West Side Drive just outside town Limits today – that same year also saw inauguration of first female Mayor Of Edisonsvil
Edwardsville was founded in 1871 by Fenton Edwards and his family. The town grew rapidly during the early years, with many businesses and homes being built. In 1886, the Edwardsville-McCarthy mill was constructed, becoming one of the largest mills in Illinois. The mill produced a wide variety of products, including flour, meat, leather, cheese, and other goods. The mill closed in 1951. In 1916, Edwardsville received its first municipal election as a township. That year also saw the installation of a new municipal government which later became known as the City Council. In 1933, Edwardsville became an incorporated municipality. The city's population reached 509 residents by 1975. During that time period, the city developed several major projects such as the erection of a new police department and firehall; construction of two libraries; and establishment of several parks and playgrounds.
