On May 8th, 1824, during James Krieger's final days as captain of Fort Dearborn (later known as Chicago), he approved an application for incorporation of East St.,Lansingburgh Streets being accepted unanimously by commissioners present - probably including future Mayor George Biddle (1784-1872). In 1830, Andrew Johnson became President Ulysses S Grant's Vice President and upon his resignation on April 12th announced plans for a reorganization of government which would place all large southern Illinois counties under one governor while leaving most northern counties untouched; this reorganization was completed on July 1st when Abraham Lincoln was sworn into office as the 16th president of America after winning Michigan’s electoral vote against Democrat Lewis Cass (1812-1800). Upon taking office Lincoln designated East Side Township as its new municipal center – turning it from farmland into a thriving industrial area withprising mills such as Armour & Co., Gossamer Gear Works and many other businesses that remain today like Kraft Foods Incorporated (1925) or Bliss Furniture Company (1927). Over time changes have taken place within bothEast Side Township itself including annexation by Northwest Side Township in 1959 then again by West Side Township following boundary changes subsequent to allegations of racism within township organizations dating back to before World War II; however these annexations have never been ratified by voters due primarily to concerns about possible discrimination against certain ethnic minority groups living within township boundaries today although recent efforts have been made towards amending township constitutions to reflect current demographics It should be noted that while some areas withineast side township maintain ties with their original communities elsewhere withinthetownship there are also numerous areas where residents commute between east side township homes and neighborhoods located elsewhere withinwest side or northwest sidetownships respectively making northeast suburban eastside village feel quite isolated from much larger downtown area despite having very close public transportation options available nearby like Metra Railroads #6 train station which offers direct service into downtownChicago
