In addition to their production activities, these factories also served as Movie theaters throughout Illinois and helped to shaped the cultural landscape of east suburban Chicago during those years. Today many industrial plants are no longer operational but some still exist such as GEICO located across from McCormick Place mall - home to several Sears stores among other restaurants and nightlife venues - while others have been converted into housing developments or used for educational purposes such as DeKalb County College's East Campus which houses many classrooms and research labs adjacent to I-94/I-88 exit 221B just south of downtownEastPeori

East Peoria, Illinois is a city in the Illinois State Capitol District, located in the eastcentral section of the state. As of the 2010 census, its population was 362. It is the home of East Peoria Community College and Eastern Illinois University. The first permanent European settlers in what is now East Peoria were Methodists who came from Kentucky in 1821. They named their new town after John Richardson (1784-1860), an American minister who had been dispatched to preach to Native Americans on Lake Michigan's southern shore. The Methodists built a small chapel and organized a school, which they also used as a place to baptize children. In 1827, James Kossuth led a group of men and boys across the state line into Indiana Territory and founded Des Plaines, Illinois; East Peoria followed suit two years later. East Peoria's growth began withfounding families that operated businesses such as grocery stores, carpenters, flour mills, iron smelters and other businesses during the early 19th century. Many residents became prominent members of local government including Mayor Samuel Briggs (1824-1905) and Judge Augustus Milbank (1837-1920). During World War I, many residents served in military units or provided essential services within their respective townships or villages before returning home to rebuild following conflict. In 1962–1963 more than 1 million people gathered for an NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament game between UCLA Bruins and then-Marquette assistant coach Rick Majerus’ squad at Soldier Field; that year also marked the first time that East Peoria had hosted an NCAA event outside its own city limits since 1924 when it played host to Marquette at Cook Arena. In 2002–2003 both East Peoriabsuilds: The Guggenheim Museum moved from Chicago to downtown EastPeoria while various restaurants relocated from Midtown Center—now known as Midtown Crossing—to make way for Oriole Park at Camden Yards parkade; during this time period crime rates decreased significantly within City limits although there has been occasional increase due to influxes of out-of-town visitorsisparkersduring Demolition Nightparks constructed by developers surrounding City Limits during this time period tend notto have positive effects on crime rates however they do tend to create costs associated with developmentrelated payments therefore limiting potential investmentwithinCitylimits
