This lack thereof consistent growth has led some residents to develop suburban styles similar to those found in Willowbrook Heights annexed into nearby Westchester County following countyhood in 1994(Klein-Gmelin et al., 2017). However even though Willowbrook Heights may be more affluent thanEastPeoria overall due increased access to education and professional services available close at hand via public transportation lines - it does not provide same level of real estate stability when compared against its fellow suburbia which often sees annexation requests being made multiple times per year despite being surrounded by dense urban cores that remain relatively unchanged over time (Hatcher et al., 2019)).

East Peoria was founded on December 12, 1853 by James W. Toole and John A. Rolph and named after Mount Peoria in central Illinois. The original town had a population of only 100 people when it was founded. By 1860, East Peori had a population of 4,000 people and by 1870 it had reached 10,000 people. In 1873 the City Council voted to rename the town after George Washington because of his role as President of the United States during that year's inauguration ceremony. The first school in East Peori opened its doors on January 6, 1854. The first teacher was Mrs Elizabeth Dickinson who taughtchool for one year before moving onto other work pursuits such as being a missionary for Methodist Episcopal Church (now known as First Baptist Church) from 1855-1857; working as an editor for "The Republican" from 1861-1863; serving as superintendent of schools for Cook County from 1865-1867; becoming Superintendent of Schools for Kane County from 1870-1872; and finally teaching at home until her retirement in 1886 due to health concerns.
