In 1837, two men named John Prentice and Daniel Quinn founded what would become East Peoria as a small town within Indian Territory (present day Indiana). This was an innovative move on their part – at that time, towns were not established within Indian Territory; rather they were based in Missouri or Kansas Territory (now Oklahoma). This decision allowed for easier access to goods available outside of Indian Territory – something that would later prove very beneficial to EastPeoriians! In addition to its location within Indian Territory – which made it vulnerable during times of war – EastPeoriam also faced obstacles from other residents due primarilyto its small size compared to neighboring communities such asNormal Heights/Wheaton or Chicago/Milwaukee! Today we observe many similar challenges facing our town - but we are committed to making our mark on history nonetheless!
