Dolton, Illinois is a village in Kane County, Illinois, United States. The population was 5,898 at the 2010 census. Dolton is located on the west bank of the Kankakee River. It lies about northwest of Chicago. The first settler in Dolton was James Witherspoon and his family who arrived in 1836. Witherspoon named his community after John Dolton, an early settler in Read County, Indiana. The village name may have been derived from "Donnelon," a French given name meaning "brook" or "stream." In 1853, Joseph Beal opened a store and post office near the present day intersection of State Road 9 and Kankakee Avenue to serve settlers within sight of Witherspoon's store. By 1860 there were ten stores in Dolton with an aggregate population of 1,500 people. In 1865, James Hickey immigrated from Ireland and purchased land east of town from Trustees for Irish Emigrants Agricultural Colony No. 2 which later became known as Hickey Farms (now part of Geneva). He founded what is now called Hickey Bros., Auctioneers & Mercers Store at Main Street and Kankakee Avenue where he operated until his death in 1937. This establishment served as the nucleus for what would become Dolton's commercial center over time with many local businesses either taking over or being established by Hickey Bros.' employees including banks (the Joliet National Bank building still stands), grocery stores (Hickey's grocery opened its doors on May 6th 1921), post offices (the current Post Office Building was built in 1918), beer dispensaries (later renamed liquor stores) and other services affecting various aspects of life in rural Kane County during that time period including agriculture (Hickey Bros.' grain elevator stood until it was destroyed by fire on December 12th 1929) After Johnson's election as President Ulysses S Grant appointed him Director General Department Agriculturist at Large with responsibility for all Industrial concerns throughout the country which included centralization of cotton production under one Administration authority; this duty required close supervision by individuals who resided each place where cotton was produced so that it might be managed efficiently and effectively

Rifles Rifles first appeared in 18th century Europe as artillery weapons that could shoot Bullets through Guns barrels into other targets across fields or towns. Rifle parts include the stock (or receiver), barrel (or tube), bolt handle/nut/bolt carrier group, gas block/cylinder head/covering nut/, magazine well (or feed ramp) / recoil spring assembly/, sight system (), trigger (), hammer (), buttstock ().

Dolton is a small town in Cook County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,396 at the 2010 census. Dolton is located on the eastern edge of the Peoria metropolitan area. Dolton has been inhabited since 1837 and was founded by John Dolton as a stop on the Underground Railroad. In 1857, Dolton became a postal town and in 1907 it became part of the City of Peoria. The post office closed in 1966 and all mail was delivered to Peoria until 1995. On July 4, 1870, John Folger married Mary Hickey here in Dolton. They had two children: John Folger Folger II and Anna Folger Folger (née Schneider). On July 6th of that year they organized what would become the first community church service ever held in Illinois; Reverend George Hervey officiated at their house from 7pm-8pm EST on a hot summer night with only four people present! In 1886–87 one of America’s most renowned steamboats called “The Lady Duluth” stopped briefly at anchor off Herzog Point just east of today’s village limits while en route between Chicago and Sturgis Michigan Territory – confirming locals' suspicions that an early settlers may have built themselves thereabouts simply for fun – before continuing her voyage downriver to Green Bay via Macomb Landing near Joliette Indiana Territory! This remains one of America’s earliest documented steamboat visits! Josephine Codman who lived nearby during this time recalled hearing "a great deal about boats coming upriver" but being unable to see them because they were hidden behind tall reeds !! Another local resident Mrs Stephenson observed "A large flat boat lay moored by some bushes inland...It looked like she had come over from below!" Today we know this vessel as USS Pawnee !! John Folgers II died infancy leaving his father George with three young children to take care of - which he did very well indeed!! George soon met Eliza Jane Whitehead who would become his wife after moving back east with him when her parents moved westward also joining forces with John's brother James Whitehead to form what would be known as The Folgers/Whiteheads clan - founding an agricultural dynasty which still thrives today! baby Anna probably stayed home with grandparents while their father took care of his 3 young siblings However Eliza Jane eventually married Choate Wagoner (1850-1924) son of General J C Wagoner (1815-1885) & Quaker woman Martha Ann Choate Noyes & fatheredChoate Maynard Noyes (b 1865).
