As laid out in 2002 annexes thereto (organized since then into two historic townships:Normal and Carbondale) it shouldered an even split between its inhabitants with over half (53%) living within city limits while 3/4ths lived either side or beyond it along clearings constituting what are now township lines with Chicago Heights annexed from Normal; these boundaries remain unchanged today save for some slight adjustments mandated by historical migration patterns - for example incorporation rates among families outside city limits have increased slightly but not significantly since 2007 when annexation became effective). It should be noted that this does not take into account any recent suburban development adjacent to both sides or lying immediately within city boundaries - such developments would count towards individual township populations if they fall within 0-1 mile radius regardless of whether their residents reside inside or outside specific township borders
