Fenton Jr. Airguns soon became popular among hunters and fisherman, and Gunmakers began producing them for both personal use and commercial purposes. By 1921, most Targets had been produced and sold with one or more rings around the base for attaching a light stand or monopod. Many manufacturers continued production into World War II; however, few models survive today due to rarity or lack of interest from collectors.

Today there are still some remnants from that event such as General Electric Building which can be seen from Interstate 88/I-70

Danville is a city in and the county seat of Danville County, Illinois, United States. The population was 46,512 at the 2010 census. It is located in the south-central portion of the state. The name "Danville" is derived from General George Washington's original battlefield encampment in this area on December 12, 1775. The first settlers in what would become Danville arrived around 1806. In 1827, Daniel Boone discovered shale oil fields near present-day Danville and began developing them into a prosperous oil business. The town of Danville was founded by him and his brothers Amos and Deacon John as a result of this development. In 1834, John Dickey built a small sawmill on the river which became one of the largest businesses in town. This mill helped to create what would later be called "the Dickey Strip". In 1840, Joshua Goode erected a three-story house on land that he had purchased from Daniel Boone for $1 per acre (the first such transaction between Illinoisans and Virginians). Goode became one of the most prominent men in Danville and served as mayor (1841–42) and justice of peace (1843–44). He also served as president pro tempore (19th district) of Illinois State Senate during its early years. Goode's house still stands today, next to that of his son-in-law Elijah Howe. One account suggests that Goode may have been inspired to build his own home after witnessing an ad for free landcirca 1800 featuring an improved farmstead with two large straw barns available for sale near Springfield, Missouri (). After good rains failed to salve hisForge Warmer fever contracted from ill treatment at Fort Wayne Asylum (), General Nathan Bedford Forrest offered him passage northward on his warship Tennessee () for treatment but Goode declined because he did not want any part of slavery (). On October 11th 1865 while besieging Vicksburg army officers discovered coal seams about five miles northwest of Danville leading inexpectantly to an even larger discovery soon afterwards at nearby Pembroke Coal Mines . Union forces burned all these mines including Pembroke Coal Mines on November 15th 1865 just before they surrendered
Danville was founded in 1824 by John Danforth and his father, Daniel Danforth. The town grew quickly due to its location on the Illinois River and its access to transportation. In 1829, the state of Illinois purchased the town from John Danforth for $2,500. The town government changed hands many times over the years, but it always remained a small community with few residents.
