Some of the earliest reports of people spotting objects with red dots on them date back to 1824 when Major General James K. Polk was touring the area and observed a number of unidentified objects in the sky. Almost seventy years later, Crestwood residents John and Karen Chiavera were having dinner at their house when they noticed something moving overhead - it looked like a large object had moved! They quickly got up andstarted looking for whatever it was, but all they could see were small circles surrounding what appeared to be a large red dot. Karen called out radial bearings on her phone while John watched from outside the window, but he only received two responses back before he lost interest and went inside to finish his dinner. After dinner, Karen decided she would go outside again to try calling out more bearings but nothing happened; she then realized that her phone's battery was dead so she couldn't continue trying to call out any bearings either! In hindsight, this may have been one of the first time anyone else ever saw an unidentified flying object with red dots on it! John continued watching from his porch as what looked like another large object started moving towards him from behind - this time there seemed to be no limit as it grew larger and larger until it had become clear that it was not just an ordinary bird or animal being passed by (it's worth noting that birds are not typically known for travelling very fast through air). By now, John knew that whatever this thing was, it wasn't anything he had ever seen before; he started sprinting towards its approaching form while simultaneously pointing his revolver at where its centerpoint should have been if its size didn't bother him too much (the fact that he wasn't alarmed enough to take off running or shoot simply because of its size might suggest that this object wasn't some type of extraterrestrial visitation)). Once close enough, John stopped abruptly just short of touching whatever it was because there appeared suddenlyto be too many obstacles in front of him: trees blocking his view downrange (indicating that thisobject wasn't actually human-made), debris scattered about nearby (likely created by wings or propellers), and finally... himself! Crestwood is a city in and the County seat of Champaign County, Illinois, United States. The population was 28,445 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. The city began as a small farming community on the banks of the Moultrie River in 1837. The first post office opened in 1840 and was called "New Beginnings." In 1848, Crestwood became a village when it merged with neighboring Town of Rome. In 1871, Crestwood became an unincorporated community when it withdrew from Rome Township. In 1902, Crestwood seceded from Rome Township and become its own municipality. The original crest wood carvings on local businesses were created by Forrest Denny between 1907-1909 while he worked for his father-in-law Jules Lambert who also carved many prominent landmarks in town such as the current library building (1898) andthe high school (1901). In 1926, Denny donated all his carvings to the townspeople for use as public art. Over time some have been replaced or removed but most still remain today including several municipal buildings including City Hall which replaced an earlier structure on Fourth Street that burned down in 1922.

Crestwood was founded in 1868 by George L. Crestwood and his wife, Anna C. Crestwood. The name came from a creek that flows through the town. George Crestwood died in 1901 and Anna continued to live there until her death in 1951. In 1902, their son, Newton H., also moved to Crestwood and became its first mayor.
The crestwoods were early settlers on what is now known as the Illinois Central Railroad (IC). They built a sawmill on the west side of town in 1871 and started trading with surrounding communities. In 1876 they bought land east of downtown for a gristmill which they operated until it burned down in 1907. In 1911 they donated land to build an elementary school which still stands today called Crestwood School District No 1 (now districts 2-4). They also helped found Peoria Township in 1922 and served as its first clerk since it was organized that year . Newton H.'s widow, Maynarda H., continued to live here until her death in 1985 . Crestwood is a small town in Cook County, Illinois, United States. Crestwood was founded on November 2, 1847 by John and Clarissa Goodyear. The Goodyears were the first permanent settler in what is now Crestwood. The town was named after the large chestnut tree near the original home of the Goodyear family. In 1870, Crestwood became part of the Chicago Metropolitan Area and lost its charter as a borough. It regained its charter as a village on December 6, 1974. On January 1, 2007, Crestwood incorporated as an unincorporated community with a population of just over 100 people. The earliest settlers in Crestwood were John Goodyear and his wife Clarissa who came to America in 1847 from England. They built their home on section 10A of Township 8 south of Chicago along State Road 52 near the present day intersection of Cicero Avenue and Village Rd.. In 1870 they sold their land to George Sibley who platted what would become Crestwood village on December 6th, 1874 with a population of 25 residents under one umbrella . The first post office opened at Crestwood on February 15th, 1875 . A store/grange/cristal factory was built northeast corner of Cicero Ave & Ashland Place which still stands today (now used for apartments). By 1907 there were only 5 residents living in crest wood proper while another 7 lived off limits within the limits established for them : east side golf course; west side school; northside cemetery; southern edge park; playgrounds ; riverfront walkway
