Country Club Hills, Illinois is a census-designated place (CDP) in Kane County, Illinois, United States. The population was 4,816 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago Metropolitan area. The CDP includes the villages of Country Club Hills and Oak Park. The name "Country Club Hills" was first applied to what is now the CDP in 1921 when it was located on land that had been purchased by the country club membership of Country Club Hill Golf and Country Club near Aurora, Illinois. That original golf course became known as "the old Course". In 1930, portions of what are now Western Springs and River Forest were annexed into the CDP. In 1951, Deerfield Village also joined the CDP. On February 10, 2006, all five communities in Kane County—Oak Park, Western Springs Village (including River Forest), Deerfield Village (including parts of Northbrook), Archer Road village (including parts of Westchester), and Country Club Hills—became one unit with a new name: South Shore Community Association. This merger resulted from South Shore's annexation by Kane County in 2001; Archer Road village had previously been an unincorporated community within Kane County. South Shore Community Association has since grown to include 17 villages in Kane County including Deerfield Village and River Forest; as well as Westchester Township in Cook County outside Chicago proper; and many other nearby unincorporated areas across Cook County.

In 1954–1955, during one of the most significant periods in Country Club Hills’ history – during which several important changes took place including additions of new golf courses and clubhouse structures – two golfers representing different countries met at Village Inn on Deerfield Road just outside of town for dinner in order to discuss international relations over some cigars after playing one-day matches using only five clubs each (the Gentlemen’s Agreement). That dinner marked what would eventually become known as “The Golfing Chronicle Tour” which visited various communities across America starting with Country Club Hills before returning home later that year. Despite this recent resurgence in popularity among visitors due largely to improvements made within the community by various groups over time including refurbishment of both its golf courses and addition of new aquatic facilities – including a water tower that now provides drinking water for all residents – there are still moments when things feel quite quiet withinCountryClubHills despite being located right next door to one of largest city populations in North America!
