The Village of Country Club Hills was organized on October 15, 1928 by an act of the General Assembly. The original plat for what is now Country Club Hills was filed with the McHenry County Recorder on November 6, 1928. On March 1, 1929, construction began on what would become one of Chicago's most popular golf courses - Country Club Hill Golf Course. During World War II (1939-1945), many residents served in the military and were able to purchase land in Country Club Hills which became known as "The Farm". After the war ended and many residents returned to their homes in Village formative years (1948-1960), much progress was made towards creating a semblance of community during that time period including formation of several committees charged with developing plans for futurevillage growth - Parks & Recreation Committee; Economic Development Committee; Building/Land Use Review Committee; etcetera. On January 24th, 1961 Village Board passed Resolution No., VI-A3 requesting that the then current company townhomes be demolished and replaced by new single family housing instead within the boundaries of our present village limits thereby legalizing such development within our borders without prior Town Hall approval or vote from any individual members thereof... accordingly developers built over 200 townhomes that now dot our villages landscape while still technically residing within Village boundaries... In 1984 a second course opened up just north of where I currently stand - Valhalla Links Golf Course which has since been rebranded as Summit Valley Golf Course... today almost all public amenities found throughout both courses are available to those who appreciate quality play at championship level including pro shop services water hookups putting green fees tee boxes hospitality rooms country club style restaurants night clubs music only events held there nightly

The Country Club Hills Golf Club is a golf course located in Country Club Hills, Illinois. The club was founded in 1911 by the Scripps brothers. The original Course was designed by George Washington Hill and played on a nine-hole course. In 1922, the club added a twelve-hole layout which became one of the most popular courses in Illinois. The original clubhouse and greens were replaced in 1966 with a new clubhouse and greens that are still used today.
