Collinsville is a town in Clay County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,813 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Springfield metropolitan area. The first settler in Collinsville was David Collins and his family who arrived in 1827. A post office was established here in 1831, and the name was changed to Collinsville in 1840. By 1860, there were about 30 residents living here. The first store on Main Street opened in 1846 and operated for about ten years until it closed due to lack of business opportunities. The first hotel opened in 1850 and served as the town's mainstay for many years until it burned down in 1906. During World War II, Collinsville played an important role as a production center for ammunition for the war effort. In 1945, General Motors built a plant here that produced Buick cars and other vehicles. After the war ended, GM discontinued operations at this plant and sold its assets to Sam Rayburn Corporation which used them to build a new plant called North American Aviation which continued producing aircraft until it shuttered in 1991). Collinsville has experienced several changes over time including becoming more racially diverse with African Americans starting to arrive beginning around 1950; however, most of these arrivals came later during waves of suburban migration following industry decline throughout Clay County after World War II; thereafter some white families also moved into what had been black-only neighborhoods while others simply abandoned their homes altogether because they could not Afford to maintain them anymore given increasing prices of housing within Clay County overall since then (See: "Aboriginal Population - Collinsville", pgs 2-4). In 2002-2003 a major redevelopment project took place adjacent to downtownCollinsville encompassing two blocks east of First Street between Second Avenue and Third Avenue known as Gateway Plaza followed by significant community feedback from residents/business owners asserting that various vacant properties along Eighth Street south of Third Avenue had been underutilized due To high rents (See: "Gateway plaza redevelopment - results", online document accessed 10/15/2013) . Gateway Plaza included demolition/reconstruction of twenty units approx., three restaurants (Floyd's BBQ Buffet & Red Lobster), one large grocery storemart (Albertsons), two dozen small businesses clustered around six square blocks northeastward from downtown CollinsVILLE containing dwellings completed pre-plans by developers representing both low-, moderate-, and high end rental properties totaling 467 residential units averaging $2187 per month plus utilities averaged $711 per month with no vehicular access off Interstate 64 ..............the total effect created approximately 1 acre or 20%of contiguous unleased prime real estate located just east of Fourth Street between First Avenue South And Third Avenues .................a mixed use development anchored by Gateway Plaza consisting mostly single family residences commanding premium prices resultingin increased traffic congestion along streetside providing excellent public transportation access ......... With regard to employment opportunity present within Gateway plaza redevelopment program various types include entry level positions such as cashiers or Wraparound checkers localizing most businesses along SixthStreet south Of Third avenue ; middle management positions such as marketing directors employed primarily responsiblefor developing policy relatedto restaurant hours; upper management levels including President& CEOemployed primarily responsiblefor overseeing all aspects associatedwith day-to-day operations ......reportedly over 100 people have already secured full time jobs thruGateway plaza redevelopment program thus indicatingsignificant future job growth potential ..........
There are many different types of magazines for firearms, but the most common type is the magazine that holds rounds in a clip. Magazine companies have been around since the 1800s, and today there are many different types and sizes of magazines available. The first magazines were created to help shooters keep track of their ammunition. Early guns used cartridges that could only be reloaded by hand, so each cartridge needed its own magazine. To make sure everyone had access to the same amount of ammunition, early magazines were designed with a large capacity (i.e., able to hold more rounds than one would need at a time). This made them ideal for artillery or land warfare applications where soldiers needed to fire multiple rounds per minute or hour. However, as technology improved, it became easier and faster for individuals to purchase new cartridges and reloading machines became available. As new technologies developed, so too did new magazine designs. One of the earliest magazine brands was Winchester Ammunition Company’s Model 1871 Rifle Gazetteer which was released in 1885. The rifle Gazetteer featured an individual clip-type magazine with ten rounds per issue that could be stored on either side of the rifle body/stock/trigger guard area. It also came with a brass band around the top part of the magazine which helped to stabilize it while loading/unloading it

Collinsville is a small town in Dixon County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,032 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Chicago metropolitan area. Collinsville was founded in 1833 by Captain George Collins and his wife Esther. The first post office was established in 1835, and the present one was built in 1886. In 1916, Collinsville became a city and has since grown to be one of Dixon County's most populous cities with over 30,000 residents. The Collinsville Manufacturing Company (founded in 1865) manufactured goods such as flour and cornmeal; it closed in 1957. Other businesses that have thrived in Collinsville include The Koffee Klatch coffee shop (opened 1984), ABC Corporation (a once-largest employer here until its closure in 2003), two gas stations/ convenience stores/ Fast Eddie's Pizza (opened 2002), Amoco Refrigeration (opened 1981), and GrillworksUSA Inc., which opened its first commercial location here in 1984. When President Barack Obama announced his candidacy for president during an appearance here on October 6, 2008, he made significant waves across the Midwest by visiting this small town of just over 1,000 people—the largest audience ever given to a presidential candidate before or since Iowa caucuses on February 3rd of that year. It wasn't simply Obama's visit that caught many people's attention: his message invoking "the forgotten men and women" of America resonated deeply with those living hereabouts who had benefited from American capitalism both up through World War II and into the postwar period whenvirtually every community experienced growth thanks largely to government investment through programs like steel production quotas created during wartime times. Thanks also to Mr. Obama's entrance into politics some oldies but goodies such as electric cars have seen new life while others like affordable housing continue to languish due mainly to zoning changes instituted by city officials beholden more often than not to developers rather then citizens who may actually need or want these things—a situation exacerbated greatly by gentrification trends now beginning even within longtime neighborhood icons like Collinsville High School where student enrollment has continued unabated despite cuts mandated by Chicago Public Schools well after any reasonable claim could be made for why students might choose not to attend high school anymore
Collinsville was founded in 1837 by Robert Collins and his wife Catharine. The town is named after General James K. Polk, who was the governor of Illinois at the time. The town grew rapidly during the 1840s and 1850s, and by 1860 it had a population of over 1,500 people. In 1864, Collinsville became a city, and its first mayor was George H. Moon. During the late 1800s and early 1900s, Collinsville experienced growth as a manufacturing center due to its location on the Mississippi River. The industry declined in the 1920s and 1930s, but has since resumed in recent years.
