In Chicago Heights, Illinois, there have been gun mags for over a century. The first gun mag in the city was started in 1881 by John D'Angelo and his brother-in-law Cornelius "Crazy" Schilling. A total of 10 different handgun magazines were located withinChicago Heights during its early years including The Shooting Gallery, The Gunsmiths Arms Shop, White's Pistol Emporium, Black Jack's Rifle & Shotgun Emporium, Fox Brothers Sporting Goods Co., Golden Eagle Sporting Goods Co., Armoury & Ammunition Co., Smith & Wesson Firearms Company Store #1 (later known as Smith&Wesson Constructors). In 1916, Armoury & AmmunitionCo changed its name to American Armory Incorporated after it merged with National Firearms Corporation which owned many other gun stores throughout America at this time including those located in Chicago Heights such as White's Pistol Emporium, Black Jack's Rifle & Shotgun Emporium, Fox Brothers Sporting Goods Co., Armoury & AmmunitionCo., Smith&Wesson Firearms Company Store #2 (later known as Smith&Wesson Constructors), Armoury Incorporated (renamed Alcoa Machine Works), Golden Eagle Sporting Goods Co., shoots World War I veteran surplus rifles called "Plymouth Pete" rifles which continue to be manufactured today under the brand name “Milwaukee Arms”

Chicago Heights is a neighborhood in the City of Chicago, Illinois. The neighborhood is bounded by the Cicero-North Side community on the east, the West Side community on the north, and Ridgewood Avenue on the west. It takes its name from Mount Chicago, which rises to 1,500 feet (460 meters) above sea level in downtown Chicago. The area around Mount Chicago was first settled by Germans in 1847 and became known as "The Hill". In 1871, a group of Italian immigrants founded a dairy business in what is now called "Pizzeria Uno" on North Michigan Ave., near where current Northwestern University's Law School stands today. In 1933, when city officials decided to move downtown for economic reasons and create an Urban Renewal program designed to keep white flight from black neighborhoods along Milwaukee Avenue out of sight and mind, they selected Chicago Heights as one of five streets within Downtown that would be closed off and made into public housing developments named after famous people or organizations such as John D. Rockefeller Jr.'s Standard Oil Company or Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal Coalition Party. The Other four Streets were: State Street (now Wacker Drive), Dearborn Street (now Roosevelt Road), Adams Boulevard (now Pulaski Drive), and Milwaukee Avenue (now Irving Park Road). A few years later other blocks were added to make up what is now part of Humboldt Park; these blocks were: Cumberland Parkway/ Maryland Ave., Oak Ridge Road/ Western Ave., Federal Way/ Lafitte Place/ Gold Coast Dr., Normandy Place/ Drake Plazas until all but two are gone now because they have been taken over by new buildings built around Soldier Field since World War II ended. It should be noted that while many people call this neighborhood "Chicago Heights", it actually covers most of Mount Carroll Blocks between North Michigan Ave./Humboldt Park Blvd./Wabash Rd./Lake Shore Dr./Estate St.- including parts of Mount Arlington which are located just east of Ridgewood Ave./Mount Zion Rd./Oakwood Dr.- so if you feel like you're living in some kind ofooky cornerdocuments Showalter-like map I've made up with my little brother
Gun magazines have a long and varied history. From the early days of firearms, when pistols were muzzle-loading with round shot or ball cartridges, to the present day with magazines that can hold any type of ammunition, gun magazines play an important role in firearm history. Muzzleloader guns such as the Old World flintlock rifle used Reloading Times Tables to calculate how many shots per minute (SHP) a particular cartridge could fire before becoming unserviceable. A typical reloading table would list 10 calibers of rounds: 7mm Remington, .303 British etc., with each having its own Reloading Times Table. The shooter would count how many rounds they had fired through their rifles before the next caliber was added to the table. In order to fire all ten rounds in one minute, one needed an average Reloading Time of just over three seconds! The first magazine-fed firearms were handguns which relied on loading multiple rounds into a magazine at once using either ramming or fumbling with fingers. Shotguns began being fielded during World War I with barreled shotguns that could hold 12 shells in each barrel; however, this required reloading every four minutes for each shot fired so it was not practical for most shooters. The first mass-produced shotgun was the pump action BAR which allowed users to fire unlimited rounds without reloading. It wasn’t until 1934 that magazine fed revolvers became common on American police forces and commercial vehicles across America where drivers were taught not to stop at lights while carrying a concealed weapon because doing so would give away their position and potentially cause them harm if they had ammo left in their vehicle's storage compartment! The introduction of black powder cartridges changed everything when it came time to load hardware into pistols such as Colt’s Single Action Army which utilized Peacemaker drum primer ignition systems while other makers like Smith & Wesson used M1836 percussion primers from 1859 onward. With more than 20 different types of Black Powder Ammunition available today there is no doubt that handgun magazines have been an important part of firearm history!
