The magazine discharged rounds from a variety of firearms including rifles, shotguns, pistols, and revolvers. In 1875, the "Chatham Journal" began publication which lasted until 1907. The journal was also published quarterly with issues starting on July 1st and going through September 30th. In 1889, "The Gunsmiths' Quarterly Magazine" began publication in Chatham. This journal discharged rounds from a wide array of firearms including rifles, shotguns, handguns, pistols and revolvers. The editor of the journal at that time was Hemanus Wistar who also served as publisher for several other publications such as "The Rifleman", "The Pistolero", "The Shotgunner", and "The Smith & Wesson". In 1930-1931 the magazine "National Shooting Sports Foundation Bulletin" was published in Chatham by Hemanus Wistar. This bulletin featured articles about shooting sports such as target shooting, skeet shooting, pistol shooting etc., as well as news about gun manufacturers and events happening throughout America. At that time there were no internet or phone resources to help with research so many sources were used to compile information for this publication which is still being printed today!

Chatham is a small town in Chatham County, Illinois, United States. The population was 1,371 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Peoria metropolitan area. The first white settlers in Chatham were James and Mary Gunn with their two children in 1836. They began to farm about three acres (1 ha) of land out of which they built a log cabin and created a small trading post. In 1840, they erected a larger cabin on an upland near present-day Mount Carmel and established themselves as farmers. One winter, severe weather caused extensive damage to their crops and barns; however, they continued to farming until 1851 when James Gunn died suddenly while caring for his young son. His widow Stacey took over management of the farmstead and ran it until her death in 1862. In 1869, Chatham organized as a town under the name of Prairie Grove; however, this name was dropped after only one year because many residents objected to being called "Prairie" after the then-rural county seat of Peoria. The next year, Prairie Grove became Chatham when village officials moved into new buildings at Fourth Street and Center Court from oldjudicial records stored at what is now Old State Capitol Building on State Street in downtown Peoria. On July 1, 1880 – during the last days of territorial government before Chicago came into being – Chatham incorporated as a city with a population of 2,500 people that included 600 men who worked for Captain Augustus Dickey's Merchants' Bank on First Avenue west of State Street (now Roosevelt Road). On November 3rd following annexation by Chicago as part of that city's initial boundaries – less than one week after its incorporation – Captain Dickey's employees relocated to newly completed City Hall on Dearborn Avenue between State and Washington Streets which housed both his bank building/office complex along with other municipal services including fire departments and public schools until 1923 when it was razed following Hurricane Agnes damage; today only foundations remain beneath Dearborn Avenue where once stood City Hall - thus adding yet another layer to this story about Chicago's emergence as an economic powerhouse during early 20th century America! 5 years later (1896), items removed from building prior to 1923 placement make bold claim that "chatham chicago coal mine" operated here - substantiating claims made herein preceding! Chatham had been having problems with mining trespassers since before any mines were allowed within its borders but things got worse during prohibition era when bootleggers could get away with anything thanks mostly to corrupt law enforcement officials who often profited from Prohibition profits laundered through banks like Captain Dickey's Merchants' Bank interests also protected! As such things spiraled outof control unscathed by prohibition efforts good guys turned bad enemies known locally as "the black gangsters". Many members chavoted or collaborated w/them while others chose not too become embroiled but all knew there would be consequences should they get caught up in prohibition mins®ulations
